I went to see this in IMAX on premier night anticipating a ton of cheering for the Chadwick Boseman tribute. We made it past the solemn beginning to the film and the Marvel Studios Titlecard Tribute started to play. The silence in the theater was Deafening. No greater display of respect. Long live the King.

Same experience for me at my theater. Everyone excited and ready to go but there was a beautiful moment of silence and sadness when we realized there was no music playing during the titlecard. Rest in Peace my brother 🙏

In this case, you are not talking about silence vs words. You are talking about silence vs sound. Usually, there would be music and Marvel acknowledging the marvel comics and all the superheroes they have introduced over the years. This time, they are acknowledging the character Black Panther and Chadwick Boseman. This served as a commemorative moment, similar to a minute silence that people do to remember a period, an event or a person. Silence is also used in the film to attract the audience's attention, this brings more emphasis on the scene or a moment. Now this is me going on a tangent - In the end, when Shuri remembers T'Challa, I was distracted by my thoughts. The sound of the wind coincided with the sound of my breathing and coupled with the silence, the memories flashing smoothly brought me back to the scene. In this scenario, we are talking about silence vs sound and words.

so i just got back from watching this man let me tell you its been a long time i cried so much like this and especially from a beautiful marvel hero i lost my grandmother 15 years ago and recently my aunt i felt i connected with this film beyond words i cried alot because this film shows us how to live with grief in life but also to smile and remember the happy times we have had with our loved ones we lost such an amazing film it was silent during this part i cried i felt like i lost my hero and i did along with jason david frank (white and green ranger ) 10/10 must see film
