Day 4 of our Black Peak Expedition 2024 was both challenging and exhilarating!
We left the beauty of Ruinsara Lake behind and trekked approximately 7km to Kyarkoti Basecamp. The weather was favorable at the start, but the journey was tough, involving narrow and risky paths, boulders, and glaciers. From today, the oxygen levels began to decrease noticeably.
Accompanying us was a friendly dog named Bachu, adding a touch of warmth to our trek. Upon reaching the basecamp, we indulged in an unexpected treat-panipuri at high altitude! It was a surreal experience.
Despite feeling heavy-headed and vomiting, I managed to rest well. The clear night sky offered a spectacular view of the galaxy, making the day's hardships worthwhile.
