Black Pearl Lightwater Valley On Ride POV

Join me on the insane Black Pearl inverting Pirate Ship located at Lightwater Valley, Ripon, North Yorkshire, England UK
Due to popular demand I decided to upload this separate pov of me pooping myself on this crazy flat ride, this ride is very rare with it being the only one in the UK, it used to be located at Dreamland in Margate under the name Mary Rose and famously featured in Only Fools And Horses tv show
As you can tell by my screaming I didn’t enjoy this ride at all given by the insane amount of hang time and with only a small lap bar hold you in place, I was actually holding the cage bar above my head lol
Pov filmed in HD 1080p 60fps using a GoPro Hero 6 Black with chest harness, filming on the ride is allowed with proper equipment

This ride was called the Mary Rose at Dreamland Margate for years in the 90's and when I was little I nearly slipped through and had to be held in but it still was my favorite ride and made me love theme parks forevermore - I do love flats but coasters are cool too

We had one in the USA at the 1982 Worlds Fair in Knoxville,TN. It was called Peter Pan but was a Weber Traumboot. I rode it many times! Most certainly my favorite non roller coaster ride! I will say it’s restraint system was a tad uncomfortable 😆

This was my favourite ride as a kid, it was called the Mary Rose and was situated in Bembom brothers in Margate, brought back so many great memories this video! Thank you!! Great times. We are thinking of travelling all the way to Yorkshire just so we can go on it again! X

I went in 2018. I still remember the feeling in my heart - it was as if my heart went on a run and I was ascending to the sky at the same time. all of ur screaming made the experience so much better, I remember shouting "STOP SCREAMIN', THE RIDE ISN'T EVEN STARTED" only to just start screaming myself. Not gonna lie, the first time I had a chance to go on this, I backed out and watched my dad have the time of his life on it, then I decided to go on it with him and was scared shirtless, but it was an amazing ride, I would highly recommend this ride

Although it was said to have gone to Budapest, this is the mary rose from the bembom brothers white knuckle theme park (dreamland margate). I have no clue why it was relocated here but never recorded, or why nobody ever really knew where it went. Every detail on the ship is the same (the 8 sails each with a white cross on, the bars on the roof , the bar placement on the roof, every little detail is the same! Even the backdrop is identical, same shape and everything) This was my mum’s favourite ride. It’s truly amazing to see her still in use, even 30 or so years later. I can’t believe she’s still going. My mum cried a bit when i showed her this because she was distraught when it was taken away. We just wished we knew for sure what/why it was never known what happened to it. My mum’s other 2 favourite rides were the looping star and the ladybird, i think my mum still wishes she knew what happened to those.

Little known fact: This exact ride operated at Alton Towers in the 1983 season under the name of "Space Boat". It was removed in 1984 and replaced with "Octopus". Its time at Alton was so brief it doesn't even feature in any publicity material from the time.

This ride came from BemBom Brothers, Margate were it was named "Mary Rose"......in 1993 after the park was in decline it was dismantled and sold /transported to this Park and re-named "Black Pearl", its all on Wikipedia, and as commented many times below

this just brought back terrible memories. also, if you are going on this, close your eyes and clench them. honestly, it helps alot. the feeling of not being able to see on this ride eliminates the feeling of being upside down. the only thing you can feel that makes you think you are upside down is your hair sticking up. honestly, it is really fun though.

This used to be called 'the tempest' and was at pleasure Wood hills in Suffolk. Used to go on when I was a kid with my sister. Crazy ride. Thought it was decomissioned.
