Was called "lame, corny, acting like a dwight boy" by former college football teammates, BW, family and so called friends from 18-23 years old. All because I was focused on my crafts (sports and academics) instead of clubbing, drinking, slinging, getting females pregnant. Landed a 6 figure engineering job after my short stint in leagues. Yet, those very same teammates in college never graduated and still lack life skills. I never let any of that junk get to me because of the following advice i received, "Don't lower yourself to fit in with people who don't give AF about you" - My HS baseball coach.

I learned how to code switch, move in silence and still win at the end of the day. That's a triple threat SIGMA. Got a quality education, had the girls when I wanted them, played sports, had the swag and knew virtually everybody. Even now at 32, people have no idea that I travel, been around the world, grew my net worth to half a million and thriving in school and on the job. Uncle Phil was right about a penalty being administered because of success. People think you are this and that because you trying to be like somebody else. Nah, I reject that. I saw how people in my family lived and wanted more. Unlike some, I didn't guilt trips to sway my choices in life. Stay on the grind fellas! You'll thank yourselves later down the road.

Young men, Anton is 100% correct. I’m turning 30 this year and by staying focused, out of trouble, and on my grind, my 20s were EXTREMELY rewarding. I started my career early at 21 (firefighter) and met my girlfriend (now wife) in college at 19. Since middle school, I’ve only hung out with similar people and to this day, remain in close contact with those successful brothas. I’ve traveled a lot, have a beautiful family, a really nice house in the burbs, and basically no debt. Set up nice for my 30s and 40s. Guess who was called corny and lame at a young age lmao

I knew early on I wanted this as a career because I didn’t want to go back to the hood. Anton im about to turn 26 in a couple months... I don't have any kids and I'm just getting to the bag to save for my future family. You have to remember its a lot of dudes your age who watch your content who hate watch and are jealous that they fucked off the prime of their life bullshiting. They see you handling business and try to start finding minuscule flaws that they can only assume... just to make themselves feel better about their own personal failure. Keep being voice of reason and stand on what you know is right OG.

Why are we so broken? Anything negative is what the majority of us strive for. Justifying ignorance and stupidity. Talking in circles and thinking it's deep because it's polysyllabic..... Even when out of context. Smh

The whole “you didn’t get 304s back in the day” is played out because not every one has the tools early in life. Some people have to learn as time goes on, and adapt and build themselves into being the person they never had an example of. Some folks are just late bloomers. So what? A lot of the guys who won early in life, they lost it all or crashed out. When you getting 🐱 and 💴 before you have the right character, it would destroy your life. When you build character, you can obtain, and maintain what you want and need in life.
