Black Powder Napoleonics: The Battle of Wachau

This week we tried one of the scenarios from the excellent 'Let's Fight Leipzig!' book by Steve Shann. Jonathan took control of the defending French and I had the Prussian and Russian forces to refight the Battle of Wachau in 15mm using Warlord's Black Powder rules. We started rather late due to traffic so sadly couldnt get a result but it was a humbdinger of a game and one we will try again another time.

Great video. Beautiful figs and terrain. Really enjoyed that. 15mm is the best scale by far for Napoleonic war games. Way to go guys!!

Cheers mate. I prefer 28mm for the spectacle myself but 15mm allows bigger and more sweeping games it’s true

hey dom i have 3 regiments of Russian dragoons , do i need a commanding officer for each ? And 2 regiments of infantry do i need officers for them too ? cheers bony

No. It depends on the brigade structure but say if the dragoons are all in one cavalry brigade then you need 1 brigadier to command them. The two infantry regiments if brigaded together needs another officer. Then you might want another officer as CinC
