Flinter my man, I've been a fan from Australia for a good few years now. Honestly bro I appreciate the loyalty to the game and if it's what you like best then fair enough but for me once I started playing WAY OF THE HUNTER I damn near couldn't go back to COTW. Way of the hunter has just pulled me in and I think it's the best hunting game, I honestly was hoping you were gonna switch games as your main hunting game, but of course each to their own. I'll tell you what you have some of the craziest lodges I've ever seen tho for sure

You could have also used the brass case 10ga slugs in the lever action for the same reason you went with the 45-70. Either works

I believe he did everything fine. To let you know, black powder propellant does not limit a weapon to be single shot only. There were many cartridges in the day that were designed to use black powder, to be used in repeater weapons. .22 s,l,lr, 45 colt, and 45-70 are just a few popular ones.
