vice does these food guides so well. the presenters are always very personable, unlike many of the people who work for vice, to be frank. this guy, ivar berglin, the spanish woman who went to basque country, all have a sense of humor and are respectful to their hosts. and the videos are all very well done. bravo.

Great little show. Shame he didn't go to Armstrong's chippy (home of the jumbo cod), or Mr Thomas's Chophouse (home of signature dish, corned beef hash). Also, China Town is definitely worth a look. For newer foods coming in, Manchester (like Leeds and Liverpool I believe) is totally obsessed with America - burgers, hotdogs, bbq and pizza. I live in Manc, and hail from in between Leek and Buxton. I love Bakewell tart (the almond sponge variety without icing).He could have ventured to Leek to get a Staffordshire oatcake. We're right on the border of the NW, and I'd certainly class myself as a northerner.
