"Black Rain" (1989) was such a great movie! Loved Michael Douglas and Andy Garcia's performances in the film along with Ridley Scott's awesome direction! 😎👏👏👏👏🎌🇺🇲🇺🇸

Black Rain 1989 upscaled to 4K from the Blu-ray version, with no DNR used. Edited and color graded in HDR and Dolby Vision. 4000 Nits. Although KZbin currently doesn't support Dolby Vision, the video is HDR compatible. If KZbin ever supports Dolby Vision in the future, this video should play in Dolby Vision as intended. - Watch in HDR for best results! Watching this in SDR may produce colour inaccuracies due to the way KZbin converts HDR to SDR. My channel is not monetizing. For more movies to make To paypal.me/DCorthouts?country.... Just curious, how long does it take you to upscale an entire movie? Really love your work.
@moviesandpopcorn29583 ай бұрын
@@JSC178 I apologize for the delay in responding. When I upscale a movie to 4K, it takes about 5 hours for a two-hour film using the RTX 4090 graphics card. Two years ago, it took two days to upscale "Aliens" with the RTX 3090. Over time, the duration has reduced to one day, then 12 hours, then 8 hours, and now it typically takes between 4 to 6 hours, depending on the length of the film. I then move to DaVinci Resolve Studio 19, using my preset nodes and settings, and perform automatic scene cuts. This process takes about 20 minutes without audio. Once that's done, I begin manual editing, reviewing the entire film scene by scene for errors. This takes approximately two to five hours. Next, I perform a Dolby Vision analysis on all scenes. Once that's complete, I render the film without audio, which takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes with the export settings I use. After rendering, I mix everything-film, audio, and subtitles. This final step takes about 7 to 23 minutes. Once there are no more errors, I can delete the raw file. I keep a version without audio on a drive as a backup, a version with audio on an external drive, and another on a disc. Today, I worked on "The Thing 2011." The Dolby analysis is just done, and now it’s time to render. This workflow is my approach, but the time it takes can vary from person to person.

@@moviesandpopcorn2958 Wow, sounds like a really lengthy process. The results are worth it in the end though. 👍

There's barely a movie more fulla 80s tropes than this. Cop drama, redemption, wild scenes of NYC & Japan, Harleys, AMG Mercedes, Yakuza, , Micheal Douglas. How this wasn't a GTA game idk what's wrong w/ the world.

Arguably ridley scott's best film ever made. As a New Yorker who grew up in the 80's this hits home with a feeling more then just a movie for me.
