In short, Diddy and his label took advantage of his desperation and ignorance when they signed him. Black Rob was very talented! I loved his first album. It was 5 mic worthy. In regards to his child support, he needs 50 to hook him up with his Jewish lawyers. This is a great example for young cats out there to be accountable and don’t burn bridges.

Diddy gave the standard slave contract all other majors were giving. The Lox said they learned that later after getting off his label. Record Contracts are designed for the plantation owners to get rich. Touring, endorsements and having an independent label are the ways artists become wealthy and 360 deals now even wanna a piece of the revenues outside of sales. Most artist's gets jerked on their first record deal because they usually dont have any leverage unless they are lucky to be part of a bidding war where a few labels wanna sign them. 50 Cent was one of them rare artists. Take Rick Ross on the other hand. His first deal was with Slip and Slide.

@@napalmjames7858 so in a lesson for all musicians in hip hop, try to extend your talent to multiple labels so they pay you higher for your work for your leverage. Although for 50 he was lucky because eminem and Dre were nice people compared to other labels

This was a Good interview But at the same time it was Hard to see a Legend at this point in time That really has nothing to show for his hard work...The interviewer had to keep saying Black Rob was the Shit Back in the day...What about today....And at the end You could hear it in Rob's voice he is hurt and hurting..Sounded like he wanted to cry....This interview was Bittersweet...But Goes To Show In The Rap Game Or Entertainment In General U Gotta Have More Than 1 Hustle or way to eat....😖😏😖😏

Rob was a stone cold criminal. There's video surveillance of him robbing hotel rooms years after his Bad Boy days. If anything a record deal extended his life and showed him a lane other than crime. The brutal reality of the music industry is that most artists go broke. The bigger issue like you said is Rob not having another hustle or skill set to fall back on after music. Sun should have learned a trade or something. Some dudes live for the moment and they pay for it later in life. I still love his energy and enjoy those old videos from about ten years ago when he was living upstate shooting videos from remote locations. He was hustling, still eating and in way better spirits.

Yo appreciate the upload on this one. This is the realest interview. This is something that people need to see instead of blaming Diddy. From Robs own mouth stating that he was taken care of by Puff and the label and he was getting paper and had a want for nothing. I love Rob but his life style took him away from here. He stated on the sway and tech show that he had a stroke in his sleep and he had high blood pressure and kidney issues. Too much brown liquor drinking. RIP Legend! BR Forever!

@@vsnipes1 In 2015, he made an appearance on Sway in the Morning, where he spoke about his ongoing health struggles, including high blood pressure and a stroke, the first of four. He had already been dealing with kidney issues, which he revealed to have had difficulty treating during his 2006 incarceration due to Bad Boy Entertainment removing his health insurance. His second album, 2005’s The Black Rob Report, wouldn’t garner the same level of fan acclaim as his debut. Rob said afterward that “it was just a point where they said, ‘Fuck The Black Rob Report’ … Bad Boy left me for dead.” He just said all that shit about puff taking care of him in hopes of reconnecting

@@zf1527 Fam nobody in the record industry has health insurance. It does not exist for artist. That is what they are fighting for right now. Rob never had health insurance and as far as what he said about Puff...I can only go by what the man says. I didn't have the pleasure to know him and I wasn't there to witness anything. So I'm not going to speculate on his reasons for saying what he said. And what you are saying does not match up to what he is saying here in this 2020 interview. That's why I asked you where you got your info from. That same Tech interview he said he never had health insurance ever. So how are you saying he did when no artist does. Who told you that?

Good interview. BR was sincere about his experiences. Hopefully, it saves others. Good job to the host. To my knowledge Mary, Junior Mafia and Kim were not signed to the label. Also, I am sure there were other artists signed to the label at that time. But all of that is irrelevant. RIP BR
