What a funky gem! So underrated for the diversity in their music. Sabbath in their first iteration was never scared to take chances with the music. Brilliant!

The respect and appreciation of the entire Black Sabbath catalog grows with each passing year, I think more so than any other band.

Goes from funky over heavy rock to more suave where a Miles Davis trumpet solo lurks around the corner while Alice Cooper (the early seventies one) watches from the sideline. Most Sabbath fans don't like this album very much. Me, I love it.

Give them much credit for doing something a bit different while still coming up with yet another banger. Killer. They just don't quit, this band has been in my rotation since 1970 and always will. More Sabbath! Next killer track... Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥

@@AirplayBeatscan you please react to Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused at “Supershow” from 1969? It’s one of the last great Zep things you’ve missed. Make sure it’s the full 7-minute version. It’s ridiculous. You’ll love it!

Reference to the children's toys being banned in the 70's that could be choked on if swallowed. 😮

One of the things that makes for a different sound is there was a lot more layering happening in the production. More overdubs with the guitars and vocals and a bit more synthesizers added to the mix. I know a lot of people put down the last two Ozzy Sabbath albums from this era but I think they are highly underrated. I agree they aren't as good as the earlier albums but, comparisons aside, if you base them on their own merit, they are still good rock albums. They still are great musicians and still keep the songs interesting by changing tempos and time signatures on a dime. I would say this is Sabbath's funkiest album and Never Say Die is their jazziest album.

This and "Dirty Women" are about the only tracks I ever cared about, whatsoever, from this album. (They would fascinate people when they showed-up on mix tapes I made and people would recognize Sabbath/Ozzy but had never heard the songs before! )

Hey guys….. when you get to the end of OZZY’s run with Sabbath 😕 would you please continue this Sabbath journey. You will love the Dio era ! Iommi resets Sabbath and the rest is History 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼 …….only 2 albums Heaven and Hell (1980) Mob Rules (1981) Both albums set the tone for the 80’s

Never Say Die is better than this album imo. It actually has several underrated bangers. Johnny Blade, Hard Road, Air Dance, Over To You, etc!

@SoloTravelerOffTheBeatenPath imo NSD is the worst Sabbath album With Ozzy, i can tell because it's the one I listen to the least. I even think Seventh Star is better. But we all like what we like. There are no wrong opinions.
