Basically the music of Sabbath had to carry on even after Ozzy. And Tony Iommi is a very unique player that has an incredible and dynamic range as a guitarist that he was able to display on this Excellent recording.

I’ve always loved this song and a lot of the post RJD Sabbath material. Vastly underrated. I saw Sabbath in 1995 with Tony Martin on vocals. It was a great show with Tony doing justice to both the Ozzy and RJD era songs.

Wow, Sabbath had some rough times in the 80s. I do own this album as a Sabbath completist, but this was originally supposed to be Iommi's solo album. The studio thought it would sell better with the Black Sabbath name attached to it. Thus, the drastic change in style from other Sabbath releases.

@MCastleberry19805 жыл бұрын
Honestly, this is the only real low point musically in the 80s. The 2 Dio albums are killer, the Ian Gillan album is underrated, and Eternal Idol and Headless Cross w/ Tony Martin are also really good

Glenn Hughes is one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time, shame he tends to get so little respect. His work with Deep Purple and more recently with Black Country Communion was top notch. He just wasn't built for Sabbath songs. Seventh Star album rocks, though.

Wow! This song and "short promotional film" are REALLY good! I am shocked that I took such a negative view on the later Black Sabbath studio long plays without Ozzy and Dio! Saddened by me being like that but happy I am coming around now! It is so sad that Glenn was so into drugs so badly and for so much of his life. With that said one of if not the best vocalist would join the group on this project for the tour! Ray Gillen!!!

I don't care what anyone says; I *love* this song. I do prefer the album version, which is a little bit longer and with none of the "ooooh"s and "aaaah"s that this poppy version has. But it's still a great song. Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes are gods. Period. End of story. 🤘

The video reminds me of Brian May's "Too Much Love Will Kill You". It kind of gives off the same tone of heartbreak. Iommi gives slot of punch with his guitar work.

I know now, I understand what glues all of Sabbath albums together despite the many different singers. It is nothing more than Iommi's deep somber doomish guitar playing. The solo in this song will tie it to Black Sabath. I defend this as a Black Sabbath album.
