This is so criminally underrated. Tony deserves far more respect for his work in Black Sabbath! He's voice is unique. He can make heavy metal ballads just like that. He doesn't need to force his voice to sound badass. It all comes natural. I salute to you mr Tony Martin. For what you did with Black Sabbath. I didn't exist during these years unfortunately. I have however realized when I started to listen to Black Sabbath back in the days that Tony Martin-era cannot be ignored. It's just too damn fantastic to ignore. No, you deserve far more respect. Im deeply disappointed that not even on their official site do they mention anything about Tony. It's just all about Ozzy-era (don't get me wrong! I love Ozzy, his Black Sabbath-era *AND* his solo career, he's fantastic and Prince of Darkness!) but Tony is not even close to be as famous as he is, so it's really disappointing to see him fade away. Black Sabbath forever!

I agree to a point, Ozzy really isn't that great of a vocalist but, his era is most definitely the best era because he's the Mother Fucker! that invented it. Like your statement, nobody can sing Sabbath's music from that era and make it be Sabbath except Ozzy.

I am the biggest Sabbath fan ever, they are the first metal band I ever really got into and I have seen them in concert six times over the years, first time in 1977. I like just about everything they have ever done but I cant even listen to the shit with Tony Martin.

People need to remember that a lot of people just hated Black Sabbath with Tony Martin in the 80' and 90'. I was one of them: I was a teen that loved Ronnie James Dio and the Ozzy era, and, for most called "headbangers", Tony was shit, a Dio copy. But the time showed that Tony Martin is great, maybe the best voice for Sabbath in the period. I hated T. Martin when I was 15, nowadays I am huge fan of him and his amazing voice. I can listen to any album with him. By the way, Rob Halford is one of those who appreciate Martin's voice.

Tony Martin has a fine voice and sounds like Ronnie in places, Glenn in others. Tony Iommi is an awesome musical presence, and has kept Black Sabbath alive all these years. They started out as four mates with no money from Birmingham, and together with a fantastic cast of characters, some gone and some still with us, conquered the world and made us remember them.

Tony Martin's tenor with Black Sabbath was the Black Sabbath era of my early-late teens along with Dehumanizer with Dio as I had the 1990s era releases. TYR was criminally underrated as Forbidden wasn't as strong but it still was Sabbath  This track is similar to Changes as it shows the softer side of Black Sabbath. Iommi's riffs are still there and still sounds like Sabbath.

The chapter is opened and the pages are turned The writting say many things but who was concerned Where can we run to now, when will we learn? When it's lost gone forever For years they told me what I should to do Down to the places I go and who I should talk to But that don't matter no more since I found out the truth And it feels good to me The world is turnin' Forever turnin' Forever yearnin' For the love of life And you're wrong if think that I'm afraid to love I wonder, I wonder does it not seem strange to you Just how the tables have turned on me and you? How long can we go on livin', livin' the way we do? When it's lost it's gone forever It feels good to me, etc.
