I remember speaking to disco bunnies back in the 70‘s. They were convinced Sabbath and the like were history. I told them they will outlive disco by hundreds of years. I think they’ll be crying in their sequins now.

Bill Ward didn't just play drums, he played what the song needed. That's what makes him so great. Coming up with interesting and original parts that fit perfectly is a talent very few drummers have. Always remember, he didn't have Google and KZbin to figure stuff out and learn new things. He created it.

Such a shame he never had the chance to join Sabbath for the last reunion tour. Saw them in 2015, it was great but to have Bill Ward would have been legend ! To me, the big 3 of the 70's drummers are Bonham, Paice and Ward !

I love how atmospheric Bill is on the older Sabbath albums. He doesn't care about laying down the beat, all he cares about is the "feel" of the overall story that's being told and it's amazing.

If the older generations would've had phones back then almost 100% alot of people if not all would be using phones to record. It's judt biterness and rudeness towards young people and new things.

The first time i saw a Black Sabbath live, was through a video cassette. I was like 10 years old? My uncle had brought to my father a live of them from Canada. And besides the fact that they all blew my mind, i will never forget my shock when i saw Bill playing his drums. Amazing power. Amazing! I think his drums hated him for many years cause of the constant destruction of them! He was super strong, amazing stamina and incredible groove. You can't become a drummer if you haven't study bill Ward.

I never knew he did those four hits quickly with his left hand following the guitar trying to do that with your right hand playing on the ride and keeping your foot going ain't freaking easy don't take that act of Independence for granted. Not to mention Sabbath drums performance and sound were produce so much better than I thought they would sound till I heard him isolated truly amazing and underrated as far as production goes. Plus props to mr. War for his humility.

I don't play drums but it was first choice of instruments I just didn't have the coordination to play drums but bill wars is what inspired me to get into music and man black Sabbath was my favorite band growing up well all the songs with Ozzy that is they a a few great songs with dio but that's it original sabbath is the best thank you bill ward for all the years of entertaining us brother ROCK ON BROTHER!!

Definitely one of the heaviest drummers of all time jazzy and intense they should of closed out the last tour with Ward.
