Well, as Im feeding the dogs this morning I look at my update and you are doing Black Sabbath, the PRIMARCHS of Doom as I am LISTENING to the first 3 albums on loop. Coincidence? NO!! And Symptom of the Universe. Learned it when I was playing in a band in HS. We needed a song outside if our originals to play when we were playing shows. I was 17. The guys I was playing with were in their 20s. They introduced me to many of the classic framework for metal in the 2 years I playes with them. Will always be grateful for them doing that. I amna bassist and I had a LOT of fun playing Geezers basslines in that song.

I bought my guitar back in 2005 and played it for a couple years, playing mostly Sabbath stuff (including this). Then I moved in with my girlfriend (now wife) in 2007 and guitar in an apartment wasn't the best thing, so I kind of let it sit for a while. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, pick my guitar back up since 2007 and start banging out these riffs like it was yesterday. I listened to the lesson and very nice demo. One thing you might think of if you are running your Laney 60watt amp on 120VAC is that it was originally designed for 110VAC. When I measured my LA100BL at 120VAC, it was running the tube filaments above specs. I put it on a Variac at 110VAC and everything is correct so the tubes should last a lot longer. The new BCC/Laney LA30BL was designed for 120VAC, so it is fine. Just a bit of info.

You should do a video where you get a bass and amp from someone (if you don't have one) and demo some of the awesome pedals on it. My problem is that I can use all these KZbin demo videos to get a pretty good idea of what a fuzz pedal will sound like on my guitar rig, but for the stuff I'm doing I need a fuzz pedal on my bass too to really get that "stoner doom distortion at all frequency spectrums" kinda sound, but I'm basically stuck buying fuzz pedals that sound cool on guitar amps and hoping that they work well on my bass.
