The entire Paranoid album is just a classic that is basically the birth of heavy metal but seriously has a lot of hard rock progressive based sounds. It's just incredible music. Bill Ward (drums) was always a highly influential drummer and could beat a 6 piece kit like it was owing EVERYONE money. Geezer Buttler is no slouch on the bass either.

My top 3 growing up...Sabbath, Zeppelin, Deep Purple. Whichever band i was listening to at the time was the best band in the world. Bill Ward, John Bonham, and Ian Paice were my drum instructors. Needle to vinyl over and over and over and....I still crank the p.a. and monitors in basement and jam to this stuff when not working on current band set list

I ain't going lie. You guys have the best reaction channel around. First, you are hitting all the heavy weights or rock, hard rock, and metal. On top of that, you guys are picking up the thing we noticed when we first heard these tunes. Ward takes all of the Sabbath songs to another level. His beats and fills are iconic. Speaking of iconic, you need to do Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio on vocals. He is considered by many one of greatest singers in metal history and took Sabbath to another level. Check out Heaven and Hell, but the song "Sign of the Southern Cross" is IMO, the greatest song in metal history. I am sure many will agree. It's incredible!

My Grandmama took me to the record store with my Christmas money when I was 11. This is what I chose. Almost randomly. Like that weird album cover spoke to me. I had to look up "paranoid" in the encyclopedia dictionary. The music was self explanatory though. I remember my grandma going "you sure?". Best Christmas money I ever spent, really.

1968... I am 14 years old at the "Strawberry Festival" in O.C. Calif.. and saw this band live. After doing a show in San Diego, on the bus to L.A. they were told about the festival, so they stopped, seeing a stage Ozzy Volunteered to play a couple, they had the guitars and a drum kit was there... So.. Unscheduled, unannounced, unexpected. Black Sabbath did.... "Iron Man"... "Paranoid"... "The Wizard"... "War Pigs"... to about a crowd of 5,000.... It was awesome. Right place at the right time.

I made the mistake of borrowing this 8 track from a friend when I was 16 in 1973 and driving alone out in the woods of the Addick's Reservoir outside of Houston, Texas at zero dark thirty. This song was playing when I drove past the "blue-light" cemetery for the first time that was supposed to glow from the swamp gas. When I saw the reflection of the tail lights of my '66 Chevelle off a sign in my rear-view mirror I nearly crapped my pants!

Great song, trend setting album and all time legends, you hit another classic tune. Their influence continues to this day. Not sure if you already have heard this: Tony Iommi (the guitarist) had an accident with a sheet metal sheer before joining Black Sabbath, resulting in the loss of the tips of two fingers on his fretboard hand (his right, he played left-handed). He fashioned his own prosthetic fingertips, originally from the tips from pool cues; This actually adds to his greatness, as they act kinda like mini slides, and make his sound the unique joy that it is. In some videos you can see them, and once you know they're there, you'll notice them in the sound as well. Another thing about Tony: he played with Jethro Tull before joining Sabbath.

@@tommythompson9565 It's true, at least for the most part, my memory might be inaccurate on some parts (such as exactly when it happened), but you can search on it and probably get something very similar. I didn't know it myself until sometime in the 90's, but it does explain his unique sound.

He probably used something custom made later, I saw one pic where whatever he had had fingernails painted on. :D

I remember listening to this album & Sabboth Bloody Sabboth when I was about 14-15 yo with headphones -lights off! They were my older brothers albums who had left for the marines and overseas. I’ll always be grateful for the cool music I was privy too from his collection of early 70’s rock!❤ So awesome to Grow Up with such Amazing Music of the late 60’s and 70’s!

Yeah, that was hilarious! But 47 years ago I got this album on 8-track from a Columbia House subscription, borrowed my little sister’s little boom box that was all speaker and an 8-track slot on the side, and blasted it in the back of the school bus in the morning. Loved it then and still love it today! For me, the Ozzy years were by far their best. So much influence on the direction that rock took into the future.

Hey guys! An Older cousin of mine Was in a blues band before he passed away earlier this year. I'm trying to get his name out because I feel like he deserved much more recognition. He wrote a song for his wife Rayma. She was the love of his life and she got cancer years ago and passed away. He wrote "Rayma's song" After she passed and I would love if you could react to it. First time I heard this song was in a Bar that had been converted inside an old mine shaft in So. Dakota. The sound bounced off the cave walls- making it sound Bigger, more ominous..like we were in Portal. Very awesome effects on a epic song 😱 Agree- This was so aggresive compared to 'regular' rock+roll.
