Definitely hits harder when the second verse come in. They always switch it up on you. Just when you think you know what’s happening. Also I know what u mean. Even when the notes are high they sound low cause they sound ‘dark’ or more on the lower frequencies which I feel is part of their whole vibe. Thank y’all for doing this.

My favourite BS song. The riff is monstrous, Bill Ward plays like a madman, the lyrics are demented, and Ozzy sings like he just took every drug he could lay his hands on (which he probably did).

Tony the guitarist chopped off the tips of his fingers in a metal shop accident...as a result uses VERY light strings and tunes WAY down to get that DOOM sound...to this day he wears thimbles on his fingers making it possible for him to play. Tony became a HUGE fan of Django Reinhardt and emulated his style, who he learned was able to play with only TWO fingers after being injured in a fire...

Sabotage was a great album, Symptom's a great track. Ozzy's voice was very powerful on Sabotage, and he would sing higher than his natural range. My friends and I called it banshee mode way back when. Killer drum fills throughout from Bill. Tony was creeping more towards shredding, faster and more notes in his solos. You guys are super busy, but I would suggest listening to Symptom w/ the Don't Stop Too late 50 second intro song, like it was on Sabotage. Gives the full Sabbath experience better. Thanks again.

Absolutely LOVE this song (and album, Sabotage) - this and the previous album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is where the band started to experiment more. They still had some great driving metal grooves, but they dabbled in different instrumentation & styles. Symptom was a perfect example. Couple other great tracks from this are Hole In The Sky, Megalomania & The Writ. From the other album mentioned, HIGHLY suggest: Sabra Cadabra, National Acrobat, Spiral Architect & the title track (Sabbath Bloody Sabbath). If you want something really different in their catalogue, there's a track called Solitude, from their 3rd album, Master Of Reality, that will truly redefine your outlook of Ozzy's voice!

This ending is just So Genius!!!!!! Back in the day, most of this song was part of the beginnings of what made Heavy Metal!! Then do a full 360 and best all the Haters who would be saying listen to that loud garbage!!! Blah, Blah, Blah!!! And then showed everyone they really have talent and are musical! And what they did for most of the song was on purpose, not just guys who were limited to just loud amplifiers!!! This song Rules!!! And people just don't realize what a statement is made to the common music listener!!!
