I played Black Flag a long time ago, and only came about Black Sails a month ago. Last season to go, and I reinstalled Black Flag because that's all I could think of playing after I finish watching an episode of Black Sails :D

Great show and it's nice to see Toby Stephens getting a solid lead role. He's a great British actor and underused massively. It's interesting that he clearly doesn't play games and has no idea what Black Flag even is but tries to play down the clear fact that the ripples created by both Black Flag and Black Sails will inevitably cross. It's also interesting that the scores for both pieces of entertainment, while written by two different (great) composers share very similar beats and melodies. I half expect to hear someone mention Edward Kenway every time I watch Black Sails lol.

I'm completely on-board with the linking ACIV with this show. There is always drama, but this show AS WELL as the game incorporates real history and characters into the plot, and that just makes it much more fun. Very glad that I can enjoy both of them at this stage in my life.

Funny that AC4 appeared in almost same time with Black Sails, AC2: Brotherhood appeared 4 month before Borgias TV series, War of the Roses was renamed in War of the Roses: Kingmaker in honor of Richard Neville from White Queen TV series and War of Viking have a dlc named Shieldmaiden inspired from Lagertha from VIKINGs. I hope that when AC Unity appear a awesome tv show about French revolution will be on air

He is right that with today's CGI many of the impossible big spectacle multitude men, soldiers, horses, ships movies of the bygone 1950.s are up for remake. So much more is possible today, and CGI is getting cheaper by the year... The only thing that doesn't change is the importance of a good script.... and CGI isn't going to automate that
