@TrulyTropical6 жыл бұрын
You are correct that opinions vary a lot about the taste of Black Sapote! Of course, it has the nickname of 'Chocolate Pudding Fruit' and some people swear up and down that it in fact tastes just like chocolate pudding. Personally, I think the fruit has a mild, pleasant and slightly sweet taste. There isn't really a specific taste I can compare it to. The texture is really impressive- it's pudding-like and very creamy.

You can grow it in a pot. Leave it outside in full sun during summer, then bring it inside and give it lots of light just like any other tropical plant. A 15-20 gallon container or something that's 20-24" tall and wide is perfect for a mature potted sapote tree. You can even grow mangoes and other fruits like that. I grow figs in a large terracotta that's a little bigger than 10 gallon, in Ontario, Canada. Just ordered a black sapote yesterday!

@@IambiguousSegment That's right you put the fruit into a blender till its liquified , you mix it with orange juice and it's a popular desert in summer time. Try it if you find the fruit in the supermarket. They may have it in Fiesta if you live in America. Now its thickish and sometimes some pulp so I cant consider that drinking it in case you were being sarcastic.
