I've also found that black acrylic paint and 90% alcohol works very well too

Does this also work well on r2-d2, or is the black to staining on the White

I have not tried it on the r2d2 figure. You could use it on some areas to make it grimy like it was in dagobah.

Have you ever tried to take apart the black series R2-D2? Do you know if it comes apart easily or not?

I don't know if the black series r2d2 can be taken apart. I usually use the bandai model kit r2 d2 since it is better scaled for the black series.

I was looking for a pattern to make phasma's cape but could not find one. I have make it from reference photos. It is complicated to make and I might make a video on it someday.

No video on the gloss coat. I ended up using the Model Master Acrylic clear gloss coat and airbrush it on. I did a couple of coats and it turn out good.
