It is now time to make Ghana understand that no music from Africa should be called "foreign" it is time for an organised push-back to make Ghana understand what time it is. it happened in the movie industry, it will happen in the music industry. You will not see press conferences but you will feel it.......As for Mr Black Sherif, he has shot himself in the feet, he has bitten the fingers that fed him, he will be boycotted in Nigeria.

There is no law about 80/20 in Nigeria. Blackco didn't know he is being used by these old artists for their selfish motives. They have nothing to loose. Blackco is in the mist of the wrong crowd. Nigerians will treat his betrayal. The play Ghana is not Nigeria problem but seeing a young man so loved by nigerians at the front to ban nigeria music is back stabbing.

Yesterday night in a popular club in Abuja, they were playing good sin music from olivetheboy, a Ghanaian musician. I went to the DJ and ensured it was stopped immediately. I gave the DJ just 80k and told him not to play any Ghana music till I leave the club at 3 am. I just got home from the club at past 3 am and no Ghana music was played throughout while I was in the club including one of my favourite music terminator from king promise. I will continually stop Ghana music in any club I visit including my favorite clubs in Dubai, Kenya and South Africa. Rubbish!

Hello TeeJay, I hope you see this comment. I'd like to address your question about Nigeria banning foreign songs or implementing a 70/30% rule. Nigeria has never ever banned African songs, and there's no evidence of restrictions on African music from other African nations on local radio stations or any type of Ban on foreign music. If there is then let them show us such laws, we all want to know. Nigeria values cultural exchange with African nations and celebrates African music as part of our shared heritage. It's unfortunate to see West African brothers engage in music censorship or cultural restriction, which can limit artistic expression and cultural exchange. Notably, Nigerians do not refer to Ghanaian or Cameroonian songs as "foreign songs". I cannot even imagine considering Ghanaian songs like King Promise's 'Terminator' or Cameroonian songs like Libianca's 'Alcohol' as foreign? In fact, it's shocking to hear Ghanaians and Cameroonians use this terminology. Nigerians value cultural exchange and wouldn't categorize Ghanaian or Cameroonian songs as 'foreign'. Let's rely on facts and avoid misinformation and let's promote unity and celebrate our shared cultural heritage. Otherwise, Nigerians also know how to respond swiftly and effectively.

@@teejaystudios220 I'd like to pose an additional question: If Drake were to feature Black Sherif, similar to his global collaboration with Wizkid, would Ghana prohibit the song from being played within the country? From your question, kindly take note of the fact that it’s impossible to achieve that feet. As I’m talking to you, a lot of artists do not side with this assertion of 100% airplay including Shatta Wale and Kwabena Kwabena as well as other entertainment pundits. This is a classic case of a typical timid African mindset, which is to only compete against themselves. Ghana is your typical example of how a jealous neighbour operates. I am glad this is happening anyway. This can be the eye opener and a wake up call for many Nigerians still in connection or involved in any capacity with these demons. This must be an eye opener for Burna, Wiz , Davido and many more of our artists who continue to engage these Ghanaians. Bankulli gotta watch this also and drop his affinities with that village eediat Shatta Wale. Omor, see Black Sheriff wey Burna carry feeding bottle 🍼 dey feed 😮. Omor , 9ja wake up.

You know you are not being truthful to yourself. The link you provided does not shield those guys true intentions. All the brouhaha behind that scheme is to suppress Nigeria music being played in Ghana. Most countries advocate for 80/20 or 70/30. Ghana wants 100%. It doesn’t require mathematics to know what their ulterior motive is, which is to suppress Naija’s music being played in Ghana. All the craziness is because Nigeria artistes get nominations in the Grammy and keep filling large auditorium that Ghanaians feel they are entitled to with their mediocre kind of Afrobeats which they are under the illusion that they created. Again, Nigeria advocates for Naija songs to be played more; no one puts a targeted percentage on it. Nigeria is too advanced and sophisticated to expect to gag its citizens.

Teejay music in Nigeria is basically promotion, and that is what Nigeria artist are doing allover the world, there's nothing like 70/30 in Nigeria, Ghanaians started this whole campaign and as you can see other African countries have follow same,I think it's out of envy, and I don't think it's will make Ghana music to go global African music today has gone global,if Europe and Americans decide to follow Ghana then music will become bored, this is how Ghanaian young movie industry that Nigerians was trying to help fell asleep , Ghanaians were jealous of the fact Nigerians were coming to shoot movies in Ghana and then they came up law of paying 10,000 dollars, and Nigerians pull out and today most of the Ghanaians movie actors are now running to Nigeria to safe their carriers, Africa is still backward.

It is clear Ghana has a wage war against Nigeria Music Industry, and war they will get, in fact Ghana will regret their decision against Nigeraia that help boost their music in Nigeria and collaborated with their musicians. The word "foreign music" is just a smokescreen. Ghanaians simply Banning "Nigeria Music" alone. Black sheriff, King Promise, Shatta Wale, Stoneboy, Kwame Eugene have all benefited from Nigeia support. Ghana is banning foreign Music in Ghana yet they want their music to blow in other foreign countries! What an irony! Jamaicans never banned Ghana for playing their reggae music, and neither did Americans ban Ghana from playing Rock or Highlife. Nigeria did not even ban Ghana from playing afrobeat. King Promise, Shatta Wale, stone boy etc are now playing Nigeria afrobeat! What an irony! What a shame!

Ghana is tackling this very wrongly. Black Sherif shouldn't have joined this movement publicly cos he wants to destroy his career before it even began. How does he think Burna Boy will feel when he sees a video of Black Sherif saying don't play Nigerian songs again after all the support Burna Boy has given him? Thesame person that Nigeria gave a very huge support. I have started my own by unsubscribing Black Sherif on my KZbin music and unfollowing him on all my social media platforms and I'm spreading thesame message to all my friends too. This thing is getting out of hand by Ghanaians already. Make una play una music by una sef. Pls don't play Nigerian music again.

Numbers do not lie and Ghana got no numbers. Ghana population is just between 30 to 35 million and majority aren't able to afford Internet data and apple play subscriptions. Ghanaians alone can't blow an artist, you need other countries. Blacko is nothing without Nigerians and 70% of his followers, views, likes and comments are from the Nigerians. Nigerians can alone can make an artist a billionaire instantly because we have got the population and money for Internet subscription and streaming. He made a wrong move.

One thing that pain me a lot about ghanians is, no matter what Nigeria do for them, they will not appreciate it only pointing at those Nigeria never do,we Nigerians never blame Ghana for anything,we work hard tooth and nail, always, Ghana talk down on Nigeria upon how we take them as our brother, though some ghanian are now knowing and saying the truth, but most of them has that egoistic problems, envy can't give you anything if you like envy till thy kingdom come,no man is an island,if you want to make it,just put away grudges so that the law of nature will favour you, you guys are breaking the law of nature, instead of blacko to tell them no,he rather fall for them, those he called his brothers don't like how he is moving ahead of them that's why they set that trap and he fell woefully.

Mr Teejay, you and Mr DJ Pakorich are people we respect. Can you imagine, if we have 7 Ghanian musical understanding like you. The Ghanian musical industry will be better.
