So many 'experts' have tried to prove he 'lip syncs', all agree he doesn't. You can listen to Dimash sing a cappella, live, total perfection. So - TAKE IT BACK.

Dimash is a phenomenon, he started singing lessons and 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100%. His range is over 6 octaves (7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for professional singers (not his parents) in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to stardom and is now a pop superstar in China. He is now also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He is on a solo world tour tight now and in his concerts he sings for 3 to 4 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album in China though. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others. THANKS for your reactions to Dimash!!!! Dimash has actually almost a 7 octaves range. From barítono to soprano. E1 Growling E2 lowest chest A1 lowest vocal fry C6 highest mix F#6 highest head D8 highest whistle Which is 6 octaves and 5 semitones. In growl , He can go down to a E1. 6 octaves and 8 semitones. Tenors don’t usually sing in the lower half of the 2nd octave.... which He smashes :D To put that in comparison: He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually D2....and higher longer sustained whistle note. Total Dimash range is E1-D8......greetings from Mexico. ❤️👏🏻🇲🇽🇰🇿

Don't feel bad--most people in the Western world are just learning about him. He's from Kazakhstan---formerly part of Russia, till they won their freedom, only about 30 years ago. Dimash was born with perfect pitch, and a passion for singing even in infancy. He started in formal Music Academy at the age of 5. From that day to this, he has trained an extra 3 hours, EVERY day, honing his natural ability, and becoming better with every passing year. He now is 26 and stands 6'3"tall. To hear more of his range, try listening to "Ogni Pietra," which was composed specifically for Dimash's abilities. Also, try "Sinful Passions," where he does a 22 second run on one breath: and "Opera 2" (which is not an opera, but very entertaining.) OH, I mustn't forget: Besides being such a magnificent singer, he is one of the very nicest people one could ever hope to meet. He's devoted to his parents and brother and sister (plus grandparents); he's kind, thoughtful, honest, hard-working and never complaining. He has done concerts all over Eastern Europe as well as Germany and England. And he did his first solo concert in the U.S. last winter, to a sold-out audience. (When he returns to U.S. after the pandemic, my son is going to take me to his first return concert.) He is intensely loved by his several million fans, who he calls his "Dears," because he sincerely cares so deeply for us. I must say, it seems like he can do almost ANYTHING with that voice of his. He’s from Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 languages and speaks in five fluently. He has a Master’s degree in voice and is working on his PhD. Mother is a soprano opera singer and father a professor of voice. Been classically trained since he was five (26 now)

Dimash is from Kazachstan. And from interviews Ive seen, he is not only very gifted and wise man. He is a wonderful compassionate person and very humble.

I somehow resonate with your first impression of saying he was lypsincing! The first time I heard him I was the same as you, teary eyes and I couldn't believe my own ears, I was a little traumatized that I had to see the same videos over and over again until I could understand he is 100% real! His voice as you says is unreal. He has an unique quality and beauty on it, and plus he is extremely talented and hardworker. Beautiful reaction! Looking forward to see more!

Not his parents. The people in the lit rooms are the other contestants and the show staff assigned to host them. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, and I believe the current count is singing in 12 languages. I imagine he can sing in any language as long as someone teaches him the phonetic pronunciation.

Kazakhstan gained their independence from Russia Dec 19th 1991, so most Kazaks speak Russian as well as Kazak. The Kazak people are a Eurasian people. His mother is an operatic soprano and his father is a pop singer.

Now, there are more than 150 universities. Kazakhstan inherited a highly educated, multi ethnic, urbane society from the USSR. Kazakhs were among the best soldiers of the Red Army in the liberation and defeat of Germany in WWII.
