For me, "Black Star" was, is and will always be one of the greatest songs Yngwie ever made in the 80's...great to see and hear this great cover version too! Cheers and hails from Finland!

This dude is one of the best damn guitar players out there. You are the real deal man. Keep it up
@rustyshackleford474310 жыл бұрын
he is really good, but I'm guessing you don't realize how many great players are out there lol. There are many people who were playing this song as good or even better back in the 80's. And they're still playing now! So they're even better now.
@peaveawwii110 жыл бұрын
True. He is not the best but very good. If you compare him to 80s guitar players he is great. These new post metal bands just suck so when I hear a guy play it brings back memories to the glory days of the music I grew up on
@rustyshackleford474310 жыл бұрын
Allen Lichner you must be listening to the wrong bands then. listen to Dream Theater and you'll change your mind
@peaveawwii110 жыл бұрын
I will give you that. Dream Theater is a great band. I am talking about hip hop rap crap and Death Metal
@rustyshackleford474310 жыл бұрын
Allen Lichner yeah for sure I know what you mean. The majority of music and the people who are making the most money are crap. I don't get it.

3:36 always loved that note...it makes the entire song imo. AWESOME job dude!!
You have no idea how much pleasure I derive from watching this video. "Black Star" has been my favorite Yngwie Malmsteen song since I first heard it on a demo tape that was circulating in the San Francisco Bay Area back in the early 1980s. My smile did not stop growing as I watched this video, all the way to the flourish at the very end.

Rusty Shackleford how do you even do violining on guitar?
@rustyshackleford474310 жыл бұрын
forever forgoten you have to have a fender strat or another guitar where your volume knob is close enough so you can turn it up and down as you play. Makes a violin like sound. They're called "volume swells"
@foreverforgotten403610 жыл бұрын
that makes sense.

he does, but he uses delay and goes down the scale like C B A G - B A G F - etc. (in a minor eg.) like these fours. he does 2 notes with the volume knob and then comes the delay (but he still does the volume knob thing. i think he shows it in echo etude. hope you understood

+Barraco Barner in my opinion I think Jimi Hendrix is the best. He's influenced about everyone. If you don't like Hendrix, it's most likely your favorite guitarists are influenced by his work. Stevie Ray Vaughan, mike McCready, and John Frusciante are some other amazing guitarists worth checking out
@hawkwind84689 жыл бұрын
micheal man just improvise in e minor like yngwie does on the volume swell part and learn the song it's alot of work and may take like 25 yrs but worth it:)!
