Black Stars 0-1 Angola: Dan K. Yeboah’s critical analysis of the Game

I'm following your comments on KZbin, don't blame the pitch or the coach. In Angola there have never been so many player transfers as in recent years. Our league used to sell only 3 players in 6 years, now it's very different. Most of the football schools were from the big clubs, now we're changing, there will be more surprises. Even in sports betting, there are already people taking risks by betting on Angola to win.

DKY, the pitch did not affect the Angolans due to their style of play by resulting in playing long balls. In a game where your style of play is to possess the ball more, the pitch has a lot to play in it, and that is where the pitch failed us. You made some very good analysis but the truth is like a bitter pill to swallow. Let our leaders know that they are taking Ghanaians for a ride. Murray Hanson My point is that coaches deploy different tactics under different weather and pitch conditions. The Black stars had access to the pitch days before the game and so therefore, we should have deployed a game plan that could have won us the game based on the condition of the pitch like the Angolans did. I admitted in my introductory remarks that the pitch is not up to the standard we all want but we could have still won the game had we taken our chances and or deployed the right strategy. It is based on this assertion that I am saying that instead of blaming the pitch we should look at what we did wrong and what the Angolans did right. After all, we had the opportunity to train on same pitch days before the game and the technical team after inspection told us the pitch was in good shape ahead of the game.

The Angolans were more aggressive on the ball than the Black Stars. Tariffs Lamptey surging moves a number of times were not seen by those in possession of the ball at those times. Late substitution also didn't help us.

🫵🏾🇦🇴 If it is to blame the pitch, Angola should have won two nil. If you look at the quality of players, Gana is in the best leagues of the world and perhaps underestimated Angola that is growing in confidence as a team who can beat any country in Africa. We used to be robbed when the african football federation was dominated by the francophone but things are changing now and we will prove our abilities. 🌍🇦🇴

Excellent and honest analysis and delivery DKY. Unfortunately not many sports journalists and analysts in Ghana are that truthful and technically sound to properly educate the fans and Ghanaians like you do. Our people need to accept reality and lower their expectations of the National teams that we have at this time. Instead of blame gaming, they should rather rally behind the team to get better, if not they will continue deceiving themselves.

Late substitutions too. If u don't trust ur bench, don't invite them. U see angola making changes early to create changes, and u OttoAddo wait till 80th min before u take forwards who barely posed a threat in the game. OttoAddo made us lose the game. Dan, trust me, anyone who says the players didn't do well doesn't know football. I disagree with you 300%, the pitch messed the play of both teams . Go back and watch clips of how the Angolians play , they are not the side that play long balls, but cause of the bad nature of the pitch and some how weakness of our defenders when it comes to long balls , they resorted to that. The strength of the Black Stars has always been the midfielder and the wings ,so it is sensible for any the coach to use his strength, unfortunately, the bad pitch made even controlling and passing the ball difficult, talkless of the wingers running into spaces to receive balls. It is time we officially write to Fifa and Caf ,to ban us from playing on any injury trap field the leaders of this country call a football pitch. It is evident the governments of this nation hate these players , cause how much would it cost the state to give these players just 2 world class pitches to play on. They loot and share the tax payers money with thier girlfriend s and family members with impunity . You expect Partey , to play like he plays for Arsenal on this useless pitch? It is time the players reject call ups, cause the leadership of this country hate them to the core. Woe-betise any stomach journalist to call the players unpatriotic should they reject call ups. Where is Jerry Akaminko ,today ? He got injured playing for the nation ,but no one cares about his whereabout. The players need to reject call ups to send a strong warning to our wicked leaders.

In Angola 🇦🇴 we don't say Fufu, we call it Funge, and I think it's beautiful. Btw, you guys cry a lot. Ghana play well and so played Angola but at the end we were better as team and more compact. The referees made a lot of bad decisions in Ghana favour and still wasn't enough. The pitch was bad for the two sides of the pitch and you guys still had the fans on your side with the full stadium. Angola is not the same that it used to be. We suffered a lot since the 2006 World Cup, that we had qualified, and after 18 years we can face every team in Africa eye for eye and without fear at all, as we showed in the past AFCON.
