I love how, in the overhead shots of the full table, you can see Steve rolling small handfuls of dice to work out the curse his Astral Claws laid upon him for making them pretend to be loyalist. Edit: Just wanted to note that *this* is 40k for me. Orks vs Space Marines. Desperate last stands, battles fought to the final breath, the only survivors clinging to the objectives and brawling with what little life they have left to claim the win in the dying moments of the battle. Absolutely delightful. I’ll admit to not liking Steve as much as say, Nick or Tycho, but this game turned me around completely. Well played for both players.

Wow, what an amazing episode. Steve and James recreated the novel Helsreach, down to how Grimaldus essentially rises from the dead. I’m also happy that Steve kept his cool through James’ numerous boxcar rolls and clutch 6s and managed to claw his way back to victory - it was looking pretty grim there for awhile. Great game - always a treat watching these two gents in action! 👏👏👏

Idea for the future: Steve's BT hunting down Steve's traitor Astral Claws. It's Steve vs Steve, and to make sure he gives his best effort for both armies, he gets a "coach" for each side that can 1) help make tactical decisions, and 2) rule that if they feel Steve was trying to lose on purpose for either army, he receives a punishment, the specifics of which can be decided by the Play On team.

15:49 hey guys! just a heads up, speewaaagh doesn't give advance and charge or +1 attack, that's just plain old normal waaagh. Speedwaaagh gives +1 ap to all vehicle/biker models for two turns, and an extra shot per dakka gun for 1 turn. Great production as always thanks for the video

I’m new to 40K and I’m loving watching your videos. Just a little request, as a new player, when rolling the dice I’d love to see a little label below as to what is shooting with what weapon and what re-rolls, I know the players say, but sometimes I just see tonnes of dice being thrown and re-thrown and get a little confused.

This wouldn't really help because they don't even show every weapon and every roll. Even for the ones where you don't see the result of the rolls sometimes they completely skip showing a step. If you want to follow along, you might need to look at some slower-paced battle reports as well.

Excellent video, one of the best yet. If I may, just a quick editing note: Some of the cuts on the dicerolls were a bit too early, dice still moving/in the air. I'm all for speed and rythm (and I get that it's really hard to condense a fight like this down to 40 mins) but just a half-second later so we see where they land would be awesome.
