Go wayyy back. That's all Black Thought. Indeed, he was influenced by KGR like Will said. In fact, yeah Wu was too, lol. People don't realize Rakim and KGR alone birthed decades of legends from their own multiple styles. Scarface too. KRS and BDK in their respective manners (though even BDK was inspired by Rakim) Scholly D etc. Them mid-late 80s need their credit more often, Hip-hop was good before just suddenly 94 and up.
