This is what a goat looks like. Dude's entire catalog is filled with Illmatics
@redpiller1696 жыл бұрын
1337Pwn4g3 his first album is not good. He had to wait for nas to do illmatic so he could study. Nas beats him on originality. And nas left the underground scene a while ago, doesn't make sense to compare him with some underground rapper. What nas did at live at the bbq was more advanced than what thought was doing at the time. Thought would be the first to tell you that nas influenced him and that he's better
@redpiller1696 жыл бұрын
Archol you don't enter a debate saying "Nas is definitely not better". If that's what you believe you shouldn't have replied to my comment. Black thought is one of the best to ever do it period, so is Nas. For me prime nas is better than black thought and no one was saying black thought is better than Nas in 1996 when Nas was still hungry and trying to prove himself. Nas stopped caring about rhyming the illest and improved on his songwriting skills after illmatic. It's a shame that his I Am album leaked so he had to do other tracks and make two separate albums I Am the retail version and nastradamus. When I say Nas is better I'm comparing them at their prime. It's pointless to compare catalogue because music is subjective anyway, all I compare is skills. It's your opinion that Nas got 3 classics, that ain't a fact. Black thought is a legend and he's in my top 5, but I only judge based on skill nothing else. For me Nas, Jay-Z, Black thought, pharaohe monch, mos def are the best 5 to ever do it. No need to disrespect Nas coz directly or indirectly he influenced the other four. Just listen to organix then illadeph Half-Life then tell me thought didn't change. If he was influenced by g rap he should have been rapping like he Is now from the get go. Nas is a pioneer , don't let your fanboism cloud your judgement. #peace

Archol so you think Chuck D, krs one, big daddy kane and Rakim are better rapper than nas, Jay-Z etc? Come on dude, think for yourself
@redpiller1696 жыл бұрын
Archol don't say thought has 9 classics, say the roots have 9 classics.
@redpiller1696 жыл бұрын
Archol I couldn't care less about discography dude, I don't fux with the roots like that. I judge dude by his writing skills, songwriting and rap skills. Freestyles and all that ain't important, you could use it as a fanboy to justify that he's better. Fact is thought ain't better than illmatic and it was written Nas, period, I don't care if dude is consistent or what. Nas writing is more clever too , Jay-Z is also more clever than thought in the way he chooses his words.

How can he be the illest when he studied nas for him to be at this level? Listen to black thought before illmatic, he sounds like a joke. Nas became commercial after it was written but that doesn't take away that he's the best and he's original. Jay-Z, black thought etc studied illmatic so it's silly to think they're better. Nas got the imagination and them niggas got the knowledge. Rakim and nas are great because of their imagination, they both raised the bar of lyricism. So it's silly to say big daddy kane or g rap is better than rakim or black thought is better than nas. Black thought hasn't even surpassed the illmatic level of lyricism.
@Spooki-mk5nq6 жыл бұрын
Rapfanatic reddevil LMAO where did black thought ever say he was influenced by nas, he wasn't he have his own style and he is better than nas in any aspect except storytelling just accept that

@@redpiller169 Black Thought names his main influences as chuck d, kane, G Rap, Rakim, slick Rick. His lyricism is as good as any and has never taken a day off. He has perfect breath control. He is hugely versatile and brings the perfect flow for every beat. No one has ever wanted beef with him, Nas himself backed down, even though Thought has been calling out the Rap game for over 2 decades.
