The way you worded that clicked with me hard. I went to see Mos in a small venue in Dallas, maybe 300 people. Mos and I locked eyes and recited his lyrics word for word to "Auditorium" until I fucked up and he smiled while he kept rapping. I never knew why he smiled, until I read your comment and understood that he himself has done the same thing (listening to lyrics over and over) and been a fan.
