Black Uhuru is Duckie Simpson's band to one on left side of the stage, it is the only member that remained constant in it since its inception in 1972, I agree that the best line-up was with Michael Rose, * Sandra Puma Jones+, D. Simpson, Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare in the 80s but those times are long gone, then there came a very good lp's with Jr. Reid and then again with Don Carlos and Garth Dennis in the 90s original members since its founding, all these artists went on with their artistic careers and life goes on, this is Black Uhuru now with Andrew Bees as lead singer doing honor and tribute to the sound of the band so we can enjoy it as it originally sounded 🎶🎵 Unity and High vibrations to everyone ✌peace

I love the jr reid version. I grew up w the michael rose lineup. I love don carlos on the now album. When I listen to bootlegs, I find that jr reids songs are great. That being said, the video w m. Rose in Japan f 1984 w taxigang is fire!!! Bigup to black uhuru 2023....!

People please, I understand the melancholy, but things in life do change and we are to learn not to cling on to it. Therefore, we should get over those that are not in the bad anymore and move forward today by supporting the new band members. Black Uhuru would always be Uhuru!

Grew up with Black Uhuru being in the top echelon of roots reggae. They were never my faves though i loved some of there tracks. This being said, i think it's sad and disrespectful the negativity some are spouting here. As has been said, the original line up is no more, this is the latest line up. If you don't like it, fair enough, but do you really have to spread your bile. He's got to be nervous, having to fill such mighty shoes. A little love and encouragement can heal a 'multitude of sins!' 🙏

Dommage, les musiciens et le chanteur ne sont pas black uhuru . Nouveaux musicien , nouveau chanteur, Juste un simple groupe de reprise en hommage malheureusement. Ce n'est pas parce que le batteur copie sans feeling sly dumbar et que le chanteur nous fait du copier coller.
