I’ve never experienced any fading with black vans I’ve cleaned, only for colored suede, like red checkered vans, they can bleed the color off when wet and fade, but for black canvas, regular water and soap for cleaning hasn’t faded any of mine

Hey man, came here coz I have the same shoes, but will this method work on white shoes as well? Like can it get out the dirt and actually make it as close to white as possible?

Yes but there’s a few more steps you should do after this, after you clean a white pair of vans, you can tie them up in a pillow case, and put them in the washing machine on a cold cycle, try and use blue laundry detergent as well(it helps remove stains) then let them dry and if they are still stained, you can use the baking soda method, hard to explain but there’s tons of videos on it, I hope this helped!!
