@@crystyxn it’s a tim burton drama/thriller (some ppl might call it horror, even) movie starring johnny depp and helena bonham-carter about a man who lost his wife and child due to the powerful judge of the city being in love with his wife (and then falling for todd’s daughter bc of his sick obsession with todd’s wife). todd leaves, returns to london for revenge and becomes a renowned barber, as part of his revenge plot. he kills some of his clients and their dead bodies are turned into the meat filling for Mrs. Lovitt (who is a baker that fell in love with Sweeney Todd) to make her meat pies. He does end up killing the judge but I won’t spoil the whole thing in case you wanna watch it yourself. but that’s why andy is holding the barber straight razors and has the mechanical chair and kills ppl in the MV.

not at all im pretty disappointed. Jake posted a brief video of him using a seven string and i was very excited to hear them use seven strings going forward, however it looks like they aren't willing to experiment with their sound. Matter of fact they sound worse with each release. All the band members (despite their individual large talent) seem to have been put on the sidelines in favor of Andy being front and center which would be fine but for a man that has a HUGE vocabulary he's become very unimaginative with his lyrics relying too much on chant-y hooks. A LOT of their songs use the "we are *noun*" or "we will *verb" formula and it gets a little tiresome to listen to.

In the final scene, I noticed four razors on the desk, and it sent chills down my spine. In this story, Sweeney Todd seems more like a pure avenger than a murderer, and that attribute makes the story more serious. It is also very dramatic that the one who kills him after he has completed all his revenge is Young Sweeney himself, who knows all about his sins, and it brings the story to a tragic yet beautiful conclusion. In 4 minutes and 37 seconds, I felt like I had watched a perfect musical.

So, I'm not a BVB fan, and I start out saying that for clarification, not with malicious intention. Over several years I've seen Andy in various interview scenarios, and he consistently came across as a down to earth guy with sort of an accidental charisma. Wickedly funny as well. I had checked out the music a few different times, and I never thought it was bad, it just wasn't for me. It went on like that for years, I'd stumble over some Andy content, think damn that guy is great, and it ended there. Today this MV came through my feed and I said fck it, lets try again. Holy shit am I glad I tried again. This. This is for me. I'm psyched to check out the new album. This song is SO GOOD. Now that I've typed this novel I'm gonna go hit play again lmao. HELL YEAH.

Black Veil Brides have done it again. This song is honestly great! I feel like an extra scream or two would've helped sell the vibe a bit more, but I think the band knocked it out of the park with this one. I desperately wish I was into Sweeney Todd because I feel like I'd enjoy Bleeders 100x more if I was. This song and the music video that accompanies it both feel like a labor of love from someone who adores that world and the creepy atmosphere that it offers, especially with all the references and callbacks that are no doubt going over my head due to a lack of context. That breakdown was heavy asf, at least by Black Veil standards. You shouldn't go into this expecting it to be as heavy as Lorna Shore, Belphegor, or even Ice Nice Kills, but I think it works very well. I'd love to see the band go full Metalcore again, but I enjoy the balance between the heavy moments and the melodic and catchy parts that they're able to do on their heavier songs. It offers a nice contrast. The chorus was also EXTREMELY catchy, and it is stuck in my head as I type this. I don't think it'll leave my head for at least a week. I love this one. I feel like it might go down as one of the band's best songs to date. Can't wait to hear more!

Some things last forever, and some things never change. The legacy BVB has created over the years will last forever, Andy's love for theater will never change. I'm a theater nerd who loves BVB. I guess it's safe to say that'll last forever and won't ever change either. I felt like I was watching a complete MOVIE here, I forgot this was only an mv. The production of this mv >>>>>>>!!! CC's skills on drums will never cease to amaze me. He's a frickin beast and he kills it every single time. Jake and Jinxx' riffs... That solo... Just the right amount of a "nasty" guitar sound mixed with what makes any song a BVB banger. imo we visually missed Lonny a little bit in this mv, but these bass riffs are exactly the reason why I'm so motivated to perfect my skills on bass. And don't get me started on Andy. I'm in awe with this man's talent of songwriting. His vocals, his screams... I don't have enough words in my vocabulary to explain my level of excitement for this new BVB era. Anyone else feel like this is somewhat of a sequel to Fallen Angels, or is that really just me? I don't know why, it just really feels like this song holds a lot of subtle references to all the outcasts showing the rest of the world they all bleed the same shade of red as all of us. Add in the awesome gang vocals and this song just feels like the perfect new rally cry for the BVB Army.
