I am 67. I am on SSI. I'm having to take care of my Grandson for at least 4 more years. I could feed us easily under Trump. Now under Biden, even though he gave us a raise, I have to go to food banks. I was raised with the attitude if you can't do it or get it yourself you do without it. So don't expect the government to support you. My SSI isn't government support. I and my late husband paid that money to the government for years without the freedom to say I don't want to do that. I'd rather put that money into retirement accounts of my choosing. But couldn't do that so here I sit, struggling to feed and clothe my grandson.
