I think with a bit of light, Uv colours with some contrast are the best like Firetiger but in the real night I think it is mostly about how translucent the lures are. And a lure were you can' t see through is the best.

I use baitcaster for pike fishing and spinning reels for perch, trout and zander. The reason for using baitcaster is because i feel more confident casting bigger lures plus i love how smooth they are.

i use baitcasters for pike fishing when i have bigger lures like 60-150g and spinning for perch and trout and that kind of smaller fish

I always use bait caster for pike and musky. Better control over lure at the end of a cast. Also allows for better hand and wrist comfort and position. Spinning for walleye/zander.

You’r hook ratio may be better with hooks on top since the bottom jaw of the fish is the one used to open and close so wen they hit and u set the hook it is easier for the fish to open it’s bottom jaw and push it away from the trebles. If the trebles were on top I could set the hook up every time and get them in the top of their mouth which they can’t move away from the trebles as easy. They will open the bottom jaw to move away and you will set in the top of the mouth pulling the fish up because most fish swim down after a hit you’ll get twice the pressure with your hook sets.

Alexander Andersson baitcasters usually are lighter than spinning reels. I started using a baitcaster like 2 months ago and i really like it. Its worth the extra money in my oppinion

For night time barramundi fishing in India, light coloured lures outscore dark ones fairly consistently. The exception is when there are big tides and the water isn't clear - then the black lures work better.

I prefer baitcasters for all weights of lures. I have found spinning gear is better with dirty hands (bait handling) and in very dark conditions. It’s very hard to clear a birds nest in the dark.

Could you recomend a baitcaster rod and reel.. I've looked at the blackmax ect but dont fancy a 6.6" rod.. I currently use a mpp2 7.3" with a diawa ninja which I really like but am looking to change rod due to cant get to grips with the length..

Get that blue combo Pontus is using at the end, I have the same it’s a great combo. It has the revo x reel which has a aluminium frame, instead of graphite like the black max. There are two version different lengths and casting weights. I picked my combo up for 95€ but they normally go for around 130€, so it’s a really cheap combo for the quality. Caught a 75 cm Zander last week on it, my PB😊 It’s called the revo x combo of you wanna google it.

I've always heard that dark skies = light lure, light skies = dark lures during the day time. So that's what I've been doing at night as well, I never considered the lure color affecting the silhouette.

Extremely bad idea, tho it might close wounds, it will add a large range of toxins to your bloodstreams. Most superglues contain some epoxy which causes cancer. Superglue should never come in contact with skin and definitely not open wounds.

Early morning and evening work on most waters I fish during the warmer months, mid day on colder months. Its all dependent on the particular water though. Really you can catch any time of the day if you place a lure right.

I would not call that nite fishing as it never really got dark. Pike are almost impossible to catch in the dark as they are sight feeders and cant hit a bait if they cant see it.

They have a lateral line meaning they can feel prey fish in the water too if they were purely sight hunters then in murky super coloured waters all the pike would die

Längd är mer intressant då en fisk kan ha full mage och an annan tom fast båda är lika långa. Man frågar ju aldrig "vad är din tyngsta gädda" utan "vad är din största"
