Good work. Both compositions work and are better converted to B+W in my opinion. I also prefer the 80mm one, It is a little more commanding I feel. It is great how these utilitarian structures can provide such images when you look for them.

Thank you Kevin. I'm finding my tastes are drifting into B&W a lot more these days and away from colour, especially for architectural work, which in itself lends nicely for broad daylight photography too.

I have crossed that bridge many many times... didn't realise you lived so close to Wales Geoff. When you mentioned B&W in your alk through I was thinking just that - and sure enough, the mono conversions worked well. Belting pair of images the last 2. atb Al

Thanks Al, I'm in South Worcestershire so not too far from Wales. Really enjoyed this particular location. I think it's got a lot to offer in addition to the architecture, a couple of large lakes and a nice south view down on to teweksbury

The BLACK AND WHITE photos are definitely the way to go. I first started converting some of my color photos to B&W when I was photographing events, some wedding photos worked so much better in monochrome.
