So good! And that’s saying a lot because I really enjoy all of your videos. So many questions about how you go about these shots. First up is how are you metering? Are you relying on the camera’s meter, or Sunny 16, or just editing out the metering process? I love the fill flash. I’ll have to do some reasearch on what to use and how to use it on my Rolleiflex(es). Anyway, thanks for the inspiration. Great content as always.

I just use the flash on it's Auto mode, so if I need F/8 I set the auto mode to F/8, those Nikon flashes work great.

it looks like some pix - the ones shooting into the sun, the flash about matched the full sun metering, and on others..it looks like the flash was about a stop brighter - of course this video didn't show the photo math involved with metering and flash setting, but how were you handling the ratios?
@toddkorolphoto3 ай бұрын
I tried to get a meter reading in the body, then underexpose by one stop, then add the flash for that exposure. Sometimes the little flash just didn't have enough juice to shoot at F11 or 16 required for that full sunlight, and the HP5 film at 400 iso. And then sometimes I'm just rushing to get a photo, so it's just go time and I shoot before I do the math. 😉
