That was a really effective ball comparison. You did a good job showing how these balls actually compliment each other very well. The interesting thing is that it's all about the cover stock here because the numbers are almost identical but the HK 22 gives the 3.0 a much stronger and more versatile reaction than the 2.0.

Thank you! Yes, the number should be identical since the cores are the same....just the coverstocks are different! It's fascinating how much of a difference it makes.

@@bowlwithVALue As a first year bowler I have actually focused on making sure all my balls have a very similar RG/DIF so the adjustments I make only need to take cover stock into account which keeps my moves very simple. Solid/Hybrid/Pearl. This allows me to play every zone.

@@bowlwithVALue No matter if it’s league or tournament I take solid,hybrid,pearl. Leagues I bring those 3 and a urethane for spares or I can use it for a dryer or PBA short pattern

It wouldn’t really be a replacement for the 2.0, more so a compliment to it. It’s more versatile, IMO!

I was wondering what the difference is between widow 2.0 and the black widow legend ?

Since the legend was before Brunswick acquired EBI, I honestly don't know what the actual difference would be....Theoretically, it has the same core, just a different coverstock (2.0 is solid and legend is hybrid), I would assume the legend would skid through oil just a little more. might be quicker response than the 2.0, especially since that ball is characteristically slow response for me!

Thanks for the question/comment! I believe those are all different brands, and we're sticking with bowling balls within the same brands for right now, but we will likely do cross-brand in the future!

Picked up the 2.0 hybrid per pro-shop rec. How does it compare to the 2.0 & 3.0, just longer ? Thanks

I loved the 2.0 hybrid! For me, I would say it was in between the 2.0 and 3.0; went a little longer than both of them and as quick response, if not quicker, than the 3.0. so, it was better when the lanes started to dry out a bit. Do you have either the solid 2.0 or 3.0? will you be able to compare yourself?? 😃

@@bowlwithVALue - I do not have the 2.0 or 3.0 . Currently bowl only once a week in a league. My benchmark has been the Hammer Statement hybrid, which has been good but have had nights where I couldn’t get it around the corner. Obviously the Indian & not the arrow lol. Thank you for the response & info !

Ok that makes sense. In theory the new 2.0 hybrid should be a great option for getting the ball around the corner when the Statement is failing you!

I really wished you would have thrown a better shot from the same spot on the second throw instead of moving already.

Are you referring to when I switched to the widow 3.0? I can understand what you're saying with your statement, but considering it was a perfectly flush strike after moving, if I would have stood in the same spot, even if I didn't get it in, it would have been a high shot. I said I got it in, which that's what it felt like, but some of that the "miss in" was clearly the ball grabbing the lane and hooking early. Does that make sense?

@@bowlwithVALue In my opinion, and from what I could see, your trajectory was off on the very first shot on the 3.0. Instead of hitting the 12.5 board at the arrows, you hit the 14, which caused the ball to hit the tracers at the 10, insteat of the 7-8. It wasn't a terrible shot, but I feel you made the next trajectory change based off a bad shot. But, perhaps it was, like you said, the ball grabbing a little early too.
