I don't hear anyone of them say anything about having to be a born-raised Gambian to have all of these rights of ownership. Nothing was said about the fact that Rick and Cynthia are from America and not Gambian and because of this the legal rights to own outright are only for 30yrs, 15yrs, or they can marry a Gambian to have unlimited ownership.🤨😒

Why is it that gambian land authority is putting information about land ownership on Google correct me if i am wrong. Are we not suppose to build our nations independent of former colonial eyes. You guys are walking on thin ice, if the family does not agree to selling the land the matter will end up in court. Or they will wait until you develop the place, pay for the fence and start building - then start a process against you . So in the mean time you have payed them for the land, payed for the development like cement wall or smaller building, then they will take it all to the courts. And you guys will have to wait with everything. If I were in your situation I would buy land from companies like TAF construction or other similair, they sell both land and land with house on it. Their plots are LEASED so youre safe. Buying land in Gambia is a community thing; everyone has to agree - especially all the family memebers, and if you contribute to the village they will welcome you. If not, you will see them tearing down everything you are trying to build up, put fire and demolish. Be careful, thats all I can say.
