Can you do a tutorial on how you do skin tones/shading? Like, how you know which colors to use in different spots and what colors to use for them to not look awful when blended together?
@jaelynnquintero73402 жыл бұрын
he’s basing the placement of the colors on their values (how dark or light a color is) like he wouldn’t place a very light color somewhere where he wants shadow. and plus complementary colors, when mixed together make a black, so for example he wouldn’t place a purple right next to a yellow unless he wanted that area to look very dark. just learn about how different colors blend together and values.
@ramakeks86302 жыл бұрын
@@jaelynnquintero7340 thank you for that information! thats very good to know!
@jessi333xp2 жыл бұрын
I remember him saying in one of his vids that he kinda just puts them where he feels they should go, there’s no certain order he just picks a color he’s feeling and if you don’t like how a certain area is looking u can always scratch it off and do it again but better bc you’re the artist ❤️
@ethereallords3210 Жыл бұрын
Oil pastels blend together almost very easily so as long as you know your shadows and highlights you can use any dark or light colour to your choice
@vivianruijin678611 ай бұрын
Yes, the general rule is playing with the value.. With this, you can certainly play with every color combination you like, but ultimately the colours in his works are based on what he likes so that's the reason his works looks unified
