They perverted the true character of Blackbeard with his death in the show. The real Blackbeard would never surrender. Even in the face of certain death. The real Blackbeard was shot five times, stabbed and slashed over 20 times including nearly having his head cut off during his final fight before he died fighting multiple opponents.

To be fair he didn't really surrender he gave them the ultimate middle finger by refusing to die any normal man would have died after the first keel haul but his real death was more badass

What sucked about season 3 is they let a whore and a swag seller all of a sudden become military tacticians and psychologist against seasoned battle tested pirates some have been trained by a ex naval officer (Flint). Why would they even write that into the script? Max's voice turns my stomach and her part is too pretentious(over acting) and too unreal so was eleanor's part.
