Here are the Technical details for the videos in The Slide Guitar Demo Series:
The recordings were made using a Neumann TLM 49 through a Universal Audio 4-710d preamp using a 60/40 blend of the tube and solid state sides of the preamp. The integrated 1176 style compression circuit was engaged using the fast setting. 2dB of soft reduction was observed.
The recordings were done with no EQ, at a
sample rate of 44.1k 16 bit, directly into Logic

Are those spider bridge screws going through the inserts or are they just pushing against the inserts?

Pushing against to hold them in place. The inserts are the Fishman Nashville pickup. Beard developed the spider with he screws specifically for the pickup.

I thought I always saw jerry play a Sheerhorn, however it is spelled. I pay a Gold Tone Beard. It does everything I could ask of it.

Jerry Douglas played a Scheerhorn as his main guitar from around 1990 to 2004-5.
