Look I'm in full support of the BB multiple personalities theory but... When people say Luffy's Mocktown "them" line was hinting at BB's schizophrenia, it makes the whole theory feel like a tinfoil castle. Luffy was just reffering to the other strong guys they saw on the island, implying that they're probably a crew together with BB.Which the story then confirms to the reader. Putting Luffy's & Zoro's intuition on display. Thats all, it's not that deep, don't overthink it.

I think what Luffy and Zoro said was about Teach's crew was around them. Because even if we assume Luffy used Observation Haki, it can't sense other creatures inside another person body as we see Enel didn't sense the people living inside Nola. I like that theory Imu cut Teach's poster and Luffy's poster at the same time. They are both related to ancient history. While Luffy represents sun and controls ancient weapon Poseidon, Teach represents moon and will control ancient weapon Pluton, Imu represents earth and controls ancient weapon Uranus with Vegapunk's help.

Bleackbeard having inconsistent teeth could be a illustration error, or it could be a subtle hint that we've seen in one piece already; magic milk. Luffy activate regrew his teeth with some milk. Bleachbeard having missing teeth so often could be seen as him constantly getting into fights and losing his teeth, and regrowing them, or more simply that when we see him in 581 he made sure he was fully restored before showing up.

Honestly I feel like the answer is simpler - that Oda isn’t trying to keep this detail consistent. It may be a design choice to just say “Yeah I’ll make his teeth look however I think looks best in each panel”. Artists often “cheat” to make things look better. If Oda thinks “Eh I think he looks better in this panel with one missing tooth - that better conveys the expression I want from him”, then he’ll just do that.

Shanks got debunked since then so left Blackbeard and Buggy... which, if either true, would not be narrative surprising at all. Nor would I be mad if true, it is mainly "obvious answer is obvious." The "left field" guesses on the list were Crocodile, Dragon, and "Luffy's Mom".... Garp said Dragon was his son, yet Garp and Sengoku are unreliable about telling the whole truth. So is still "Sus" in my book. Crocodile still has a history we don't know about. "Croc's a Rocks" has been gaining some ground in the theory community in the past year. "Luffy's Mom"... (let's not talk about Crocomom) could be a thing as to why she isn't around, she is being held captive somewhere as a political prisoner and maybe that is how Dragon met her, being a former Marine.

If the whole rocks family had special physical chatacteristics, i‘m sure whitebeard would have known that teach is rocks son. After all also marco and the other commanders knew that he had an abnormal physicallity. Then it would have made no sense for shanks to warn whitebeard about teach and whitebeard ignoring the warning since he‘d already have known. I think big mom, whitebeard and kaido were not really part of rocks grew but pirates that used to team up with him and work for him. It is big mom herself who asked kaido if it is his „first time teaming up with rocks“, which suggests that there were pirates that used to team up with him from time to time but that were not on his crew. I think by the marines whenever they showed up together they were simply all labeld as rock pirates since rocks was the leader of the alliance.

Being Rocks' son makes the most sense. I thought he would be a Buccaneer, but you're right that it would make little sense for Kuma to be the "last" of a race we just learned about only to then find out "ACTUALLY BLACKBEARD IS ONE ALSO!" The question I still need answered is, did Whitebeard know? If so, how did it affect his treatment of Teach during his time on the crew, and why wasn't he more worried after the betrayal? On a bit of a tangent, at 14:29 I think it's really cute that Bonney's real-world occupation would be as a pizza chef. So the number of D family's coincide with the number of marks on the sun symbol that we have seen multiple times namely 8. So i think that it all connects to the All Blue (project). 4 D family's for the different seas, 1 for the red line/grand line and 3 for the ancient weapons. The fact that Saturn says that Teach lineage is special combined with the fact that Imu destroyed his wanted picture, gives me the impression that Teach lineage might go back to Imu herself. I suspect that Imu is the mother of Joyboy as well as two other sons (Madboy and Sadboy as i like to call them) who guided the ancient weapons. This means that Luffy's lineage can also be traced back to Imu. The big difference between Luffy and Teach is that the former does not know anything about it nor would he care, while blackbeard is activly trying to live up to it.

personally i prefer the Theory of Rocks D. Xebec being the original user of Blackbeard´s Yami Yami no mi. and maybe he isn´t the father of Blackbeard at all. Just think of Roger: Ace was Roger´s son but everyone who once had met Roger had the idea of Luffy being like Roger reborn. What if Blackbeard inherited Rocks´will just like Luffy inherited Roger´s. but who knows. after all, all we know about Rocks are the things, the world government tells us, so it is most likely propaganda and lies. until we get to know more about the true Rocks D. Xebec and learn his true character traits, there are at this point in time only two really evil beings in the world of One Piece: Blackbeard and Imu. and to think of Blackbeard as a person as vile, power hungry and tyrannic as Imu itself, this could spell horror for Imu - having to deal with a person who whould do anything to rule the world - maybe just like Imu once did...

I'm on blackbeard is imu descendant. Might just be pulling on strings but I find it odd that with multiple dfs he could pose a huge threat to wg but imu seems to leave him alone. Same with the rest of the wg. He's definitely tied to them somehow whether they did something to him or because of his lineage. If that's the case maybe saturn knows of his lineage through imu and shanks was talking to the gorosei about something different? I also like xebec being his ancestor too, but I don't think we should rule out imu. Please tell me if I'm missing something stupidly obvious to debunk this 💀

The notion that Rocks is literally one of Blackbeard's personas is insane and I will scream if it turns out to be true but that begs the question who the third guy is. Because with how much the number 3 shows up in his symbology, obviously there is gonna be a third guy. And none of this explains how the host body is able to handle all of this nonsense. Because the spirits could pilot the body around in eight-hour shifts but just in case this whole mess is trying to adhere to reality in any capacity, the body is eventually in need of rest aswell. I guess Oda will find some janky workaround to handwave it away but still. "Laffite is Lucci's pigeon" is my second favorite theory now. This is my new favorite theory.

If BB is the opposite of Luffy, then I feel like his lineage would be part of the Celestial Dragons somehow. Luffy is son of a Revolutionary, BB is son of a Monarch or Dragon family. And maybe was orphaned and left to survive on his own after God Valley. Though, I guess it could be Xebec and just a matter of selfish, anti-community like Xebec while Luffy comes from a family with a strong sense of Justice and community. I doubt it's a third, unseen fruit. The "lineage" line makes me doubt it's only a matter of a special race...though I do wonder if maybe his family is from one of the Moon kingdoms?

This is just my opinion. But Rocks could of been someone a lot like Luffy. Just like how Oden was Handled. Think about what he managed to assemble three former members of the four emperors at their peak and over legendary figures under one group. Not to mention some of their characteristics weren't initially evil: • Whitebeard was viewed as a monster but is actually the nicest old man who wanted a family of his own. • Big Mom was was cruel but a reasonable person. In fact, she wanted world peace even when she was a child. • Kaido was raised in a country of slaves and was treated as a political tool and suffered persecution because he was a Ogre. Plus, he viewed Big Mom like a older sister. My, point is that I think the world government labelled Xebec as a massive threat because of what kind of person he is. Meaning, that represents freedom. Just like how they covered up the Alabasta incident involving the Strawhats and Crocodile. So in a sense if your theory about Blackbeard being Xebec's son is true. Then he would want revenge. But what about Imu? Is him/her the final antagonist or Blackbeard?

As for coward and brave personalities theory, it doesn't make sense. Because to go Marineford, where all Admirals and WB pirates fighting, he needs to be brave. So why should he switch personality suddenly from brave to coward after WB injured him? Its not cowardice, its being smart and toying around like Luffy does all the time, remember Luffy too was begging to Garp. Teach knew WB's weakness is being emotional towards his crew thats why he tried to trick WB by acting like he is WB's crew again but WB still attacked him, then Teach was laughing next page while shooting WB with a pistol.
