Great theory, a lot better than the cerberus theory. Though the theory I’m going with is that Blackbeard was from the same winter island that Vegapunk was from and was tested on, also would explain how Blackbeard got his hands on a devil fruit encyclopedia. Also remember back on Drum Island, it was Luffy that said that people from winter islands never sleep or else they’d die. I also just don’t see how certain mythical zoan fruits would allow one to consume more devil fruits. That’d be way too overpowered and Orochi’s devil fruit was completely wasted, though not completely as it gave him 7 extra lives.

I mean you have to remember that finding a devil fruit in the first place is EXTREMELY rare. Like we’ve seen about over 200 and there are millions of people that live in this world. If you have like say 10 million people that’s a 0.002% chance of having a devil fruit. There are more then 200 with the show still going but still it’s not likely to find 1 let alone 2. It also took Blackbeard 20+ years on Whitebeards crew to find another devil fruit, that wasn’t a zoan because it’s not like Whitebeard had a ton of fruit users. All I can remember are Jozu, Marco, and Ace (one of each fruit) so it’s not like they were just popping up like for Big Moms crew or Doffy. The fruit as described, only really works if you have other fruits, which would explain why even if he had a mythical zoan he had to remain hiding because he wasn’t strong enough to make a move. So I don’t really see it as broken, more like high risk high reward.

I agree with the theory, but the laughing part is a MASSIVE stretch IMO. Luffy doesn't laugh like "hito hito" or "gomu gomu" nor does chopper, Enel doesn't laugh like "goro goro" Kaido doesn't laugh like "uo uo" or "seiryu", big mom doesn't laugh like "soru soru" etc etc. Laughter does not equal ones devil fruit just because we have a few cases of people laughing like that.

My personal theory was that his first devil fruit was a zoan cow cow fruit. That way he has 4 stomachs, first one taken by the cowcow df, then his darkness df. Then the white beards. This way he has room for just one more to be taken.

What an exciting theory! If “god” fruits exist in one piece then demon or devil devil fruits must exist as well. Titling these super powers as “devil” fruits has been the greatest and first mystery of one piece. Introducing the yonkai with the cg’s is the start to uncovering these mysteries. Blackbeards fighting style has always been weird, he just seems to take damage. With the latest ch we saw saturn purposely take damage and watch the blood disappear. Black beard having a yonkai fruit would give him similar powers. What if the god and devil type fruits exist inside the person, similar to tailed beast in naruto. The god fruits like nikaa chose there weilder then give them free will, similar to western theology. If blackbeard like luffy got this fruit early on. Perhaps the yonkai has laid out the plan for blackbeard and used its knowledge to guide blackbeard. He always seems to uave the upperhand with brilliant strategies but also seems like a dumb ass who wouldn’t design such an intricate plot. Also, say shanks pushed him to reveal his yonkai fruit in the fight, then it makes total sense reporting to the gorosei who also have yonkai fruit. Shanks met the elders because he needed to "talk about something very important". What if Shanks vaguely figured out BBs DF after fighting him and getting his scars from him? This could also explain why BB has been made a Yonko - the elders see BB as a real big threat and wanted to put him on top of the hunted list so that maybe some pirates can either confirm Shanks' observation or maybe weaken BB enough to take him out like they tried with Luffy by sending in Ryoku to get rid of "nika"

I think I figured out how Bb has 2 devil fruits. I didn't watch this video to the end. But I have a simple but very strong hint to how he did it . 1) he is 2 guys not 3 . I don't know why everyone is speculating it being 3 when he clearly has only 2. 2) At Odens flashback. Buggy told Shanks that Blackbeard never slept since he was born . And buggy noticed he didn't sleep during the 3 days fight against whitebeard crew. Then shanks told him that means he is living twice as normal people. And he said it would be good to live 2 times per 1 lifespan. This indicates strongly that Bb has some kind of alter ego. 2 different personalities that change between day and night. He can also be the same person but living 2 lifespans at once. Which allowed him to live without wasting half of the lifetime sleeping. Also he could have some kind of a devil blood. Or being possessed. Everything is speculation but the only thing that has some kind of relation to having 2 devil fruits is this scene of shanks and buggy interaction .

I seen this theory awhile ago on 333vils and was pretty much sold instantly channel but the Gods valley flashback doubled down with those six boxes and since the races were being hunted maybe there was an extra Buccaneer and Rocks inadvertently saved Teach from death becoming his hero perhaps following him after the incident ending up near the 6 prize chests and that’s where Roger and Garp convened inadvertently with the rocks crew Roger n Co didn’t team with Garp as much as their wanting the treasure themselves and having Garp as the equalizer being the only way to beat the crew that would have otherwise came out on top easily. Garp was likely the one who put shanks in the chest to protect him while they fought and he doesn’t speak about that day because the box was missing in the aftermath and he is an idiot not realizing that the Red Haired pirate he hates for corrupting Luffyvis that very same boy. Blackbeard’s theory of eating Mythical Zoan model: Cerberus is correct. This maybe the reason why shanks needs to meet Gorosei to tell them what he discovered. Shanks was able to see the transformation of Blackbeard’s and may have use Cerberus claw that ended up having scratches in his eyes.

I like this theory. I thought you were gonna say something crazy, like him being part of the race Kuma is from. Edit: it was clearly stated Kuma was the last survivor. My personal theory is that, now hear me out: like kuma, kaido, and pretty much everyone else, teach was also experimented on. That would explain his 3 souls, give access to DF knowledge, history, and the baize fruit (if proven to exist). Hell, he might even be a failed experimental clone/has DNA to Rocks D. Xebec. Basing this off the laugh is weak out the gate because I can give 4 examples of the laugh not matching a devil fruit vs the three you’re using to set up your theory. Big Mom has the Soru Soru no Mi but her laugh is “Mama! Mama!”, Kaido has the Uo Uo no Mi but his laugh is “Worororo!”, Moria has the Kage Kage no Mi but his laugh is “Ki-shishishi”, and Dr Hogback doesn’t even HAVE a fruit but his laugh is a goofy-ass “Fosh fosh fosh!”. For every example of a laugh matching a fruit, they’re are just as many if not more examples of a laugh NOT matching to a fruit.

Nice theory but the only thing I do not follow is about "Luffy having another mythical fruit" before the gomu gomu because he does not have the same Teach ability to have 3 saouls so he cannot ate more than one devil fruit. The rest is quite interesting and solid actually ! Thanks !

I think it should be pointed out that Blackbeard isn't the only character we see "consume" more than one fruit. If you go back to Punk Hazard and look at Smiley, it ate a devil fruit and was absorbed by Caesar Clown. When a devil fruit user is eaten their fruit power is transferred to the consumer, which begs the question of whether eating another devil fruit actually could kill you or not given how Caesar Clown was alive lone after Punk Hazard. So this can mean one of two things, either the extra fruit equals death rumor is a hoax or fruit users can infact consume more than one fruit by proxy, meaning they consume an extra fruit through unorthodoxed methods.

Look back at the four gods mentioned in Skypiea: Sun god (Luffy) Rain God (most likely Dragon) Forest God (most likely Imu with where he is so often depicted) Land God (Blackbeard with this 3 souled, earthquake making Yokai) With the final battle likely putting Rain and Sun against Forest and Land.

Kaido's fruit wasn't 'found' at God Valley. It was stolen from Beehive Island and brought to God Valley to serve as a prize for the Celestial Dragons during their hunting game. Big Mom just stole it back from them and gave it to Kaido during their attack.

One thing I noticed, the yokai Saturn - in theory- could spreed a mortal incurable decease, this could be infected o poisoned by the fact he made certain people paralyse. Sanji: mutant (Chopper could save him in an effort to cure the incurable but just because he is mutant). Bonney: devil fruit of age, if the decease spreads through “years old standards”, she can dodge it by using her fruit in a certain way that she is meant to live (change her age) to a certain degree, go through it and surpass her death (awakening) Franky: finally full cyborg like Kuma but with actual self awareness. Vegapunk: transforms franky but dies Idk if Luffy was also paralysed or he is just exhausted, might he have been saved by his limitations with gear5? Idk bro, I have to quit drugs.

Maybe this devil fruit could obtain even more souls if they are compatible. There's BlackBeard's soul, Xebec soul and another one. We could get more info at the end of the God Valley flashback! If he finds another compatible soul, maybe he could obtain another devil fruit. Maybe he could obtain all the devil fruits of his whole crew? He and his crew gets defeated in the Laugh Tale battle royale but he comes back for the final battle with a huge powerboost. Maybe the awakening of this fruit allows + the darkness fruit allows him to tame any devil fruit souls to have an unlimited amount
