Want to get a different reaction? tuck a small piece of black felt down in the center of the rose out of sight and put a couple of drops of essential rose oil on it! Then when they ask how did you make it smell like that!? Tell them it's really difficult to forge that smell in there!

Absolutely gorgeous piece. Would love to see a video of your torch setup and how "you" find them useful in your shop for different applications. I have found in my career building its best to see how others with a higher skill level use tools and there setups. Often I can learn a valuable lesson for my setup amd tweak things to my use better. In a way its the adage learn from anothers mistake so you dont repeat it yourself. But in my case I find it to be why reinvent the wheel when someone already has it figured out. I found your video on how you setup your work space extremely helpful in mine.

Very cool! I'm thinking about making an arbor out of iron roses and then growing real roses on it. Should be ready by mothers day 2025. I like the idea of precut blanks. I love the old "I did it the old fashion way and it was a lot of work" but at the same time if I do everything the old fashion way I won't have enough time in my life to complete all my projects so yeah it's a balance I guess. At the end of the day you made that rose and it looks excellent so who cares if a robot did some of the labour for you. That being said I'd love to see you do it the old fashion way.

:) amazing how cameras mess up a recording by averaging out sounds or try to compensate for contrast changes, turning loud sounds into purrs and changing a workshop into a disco dancefloor, but when there's a screeching sound of a file they all capture is crystal clear and vividly accurate. Hahaha... Had to skip the sound for a bit because I had goosbumps behind my ears and on my toes =))) (this is no complaint, quite the contrary. It's nice to get the real sounds of a real shop in a video)

For the thorn try leaving a slightly thicker section on the stem then chisel it in like the ears on your dragon.
