I'm very appreciative of the work you do on your channel. I respect your objective approach to the matters raised in your videos. What frustrates me is the notion that diversity quotas are a good thing, something to be aimed at. These constructs, in my opinion, are fundamentally racist, dividing the populace into racial categories, then treating people differently, according to whichever box their skin tone dictates. This is the death of meritocracy, where skills and experience are subordinated to a race based ideology. In my opinion, both the Tories and current Labour are perpetuating the Blairite policies that are killing this country. Thank you for bringing these news items to the fore.

I managed a successful company for 24 years. This Governments knows nothing about management. You can only have one, number one priority. The priority has to be growing the economy, because everything depends upon the money this generates. If growing the Economy is number one, every other goal must be set to serve the primary goal. As you say the economy, wasn’t too bad under the previous Government, so the best policy for this Government, would be one of marginal gains - lots and lots of small tweaks. Then there is no risk of major policies going disastrously wrong.

I'm so sick of this country. My company cannot hire anyone because of new red tape, taxes and rights can maim SMEs, I cannot say anything about how I feel for fear of arrest, my money that I have worked hard for is being constantly eroded by the government despite having already paid more than my fair share of taxes, I cannot get a doctors appointment, housing is horrendous and so massively inflated that I cannot buy a home and my local high street is either filled with empty shops or take a ways. We're finished.

Positive discrimination has been around for years. In the early 1990's BBC Pebble Mill advertised opportunities for people without previous experience to train as film crew, provided the applicants were from ethnic minority groups. I phoned and asked when the courses for white people were taking place and was told that there were none planned because management didn't have enough black employees. I wonder how that makes black employees feel in terms of self esteem? Does one end up in the situation where you are forever questioning whether you are valued for your contribution to the team or there because your presence in the workplace is somehow just necessary? Furthermore, when an organisation hires solely on the basis of colour/ethnicity to hit a target, does that organisation continue that target in the more valuable roles or are those new employees already doomed to remain out of management and be grateful for what they've got?

She's in a worse position than before, and now desperately needs more tax revenue to cover the damage...

In 2008 I was unable to apply for a studentship that was linked to a role in a government agency in a niche field because I was not an ethnic minority. I was told by the Commission for Racial Equality at the time that it was legal to discriminate because it was education and they were not overtly offering a job at the end of it (In reality it would be pretty certain that the studentship would lead to a job in that agency). I never saw an opportunity like that again in that field for someone of any ethnicity.

In terms of discrimination, I applied for a job in a London borough. I put in two applications - one from 'normal' me (I'm a professional with significant experience) and another from a woman with a foreign name. The woman's application was actually less qualified than my own (fewer years' experience and a lesser qualification). Guess which one got an interview... I can't get through the door for jobs now. Every 70-80 years, the new generation makes the same mistakes as their forefathers and ancestors did. If you look at Europe in the 1920s and 30s, the conditions leading up to WW2 were very similar to what we have now.
