I Don't cut out any errors or mishaps that may happen when I am doing a repair. I do this so you can see what may ACTUALLY happen during the process so you can try to avoid any errors or accidents that I may do in the video. Mind you I do know what I am doing but humans do make mistake so I took it upon myself not to make robotic perfect repair videos that you see all over you tube. I want you to see the real deal . Also if you are not comfortable with any of these steps I would advise to take your phone to a professional.

I don't consider myself to be technically inclined, but armed with a pry tool and a T6 driver, I was able to replicate these steps and replace my trackpad. This afternoon, my 9300 Blackberry was a worthless piece of junk. Now it's working as good as new. Thanks Techguz708.

@efrrren hello the one with the blue dot you can just shove the screw driver right through it. and you can't remove the bezel without taking the screws off. Im not sure whats up with the top part, if it is what i think you mean its cause you have to slide it in from the top first then clip the bottom part down.

Hi techguyz, your video was a great help, thank you :) If I could ask your advice..I got the new trackpad installed, although it scrolls ok, the button function will not work. I wondered if I could have damaged anything? or is it more likely the replacement trackpad is duff. The old trackpad didn't scroll, but the button worked! lol I'm getting round the new issue by using the keyboard return key to "click".

@XxSophieBabbiie2k9xX Did you make sure the LCD connector is plugged in snugly? Also make sure the trackpad connector is all the way in.

However, if i do decide to do it myself what head are the 8 screw that need to be removed? meaning what tool do i need to remove the screw i understand a screwdriver but what kind?

hello, try using a t6 torx to get them out. I may have said t5 in the video I don't remember but it is t6. let me know if it works thanks

Hi techguyz, iIm following your step by step video and have put everything back together with no problem. However, when I turned the device on I see nothing on the screen. I saw the red light coming on and I know the phone is on because I saw the light coming from the keyboard but nothing coming on the screen. most likely. All these models are disassembled pretty much the same to get to the trackpad, yet the trackpads are connected somewhat different on each model.

I tried this procedure but the trackpad had a loose fit and didn't work. Could it have been a bad product that I bought from eBay or is it a case of pushing the back in further? Just felt like the latter option would have broken the trackpad.

hey i tried to replace my track pad and it didn't work, i thought the track pad might be defective so i put the original one back in and it still didn't work. i don't know what to do i tried numerous times i made sure its in all the way and nothing. now im forced to go to a store and spend a lot of money to fix it. any suggestions before i go fix it at a store?

I might attempt this. After my daughter dropping it a few dozen times I can no longer tolerate its trackpad issues. Otherwise, it's in good condition. Can the trackpad be purchased somewhere on its own?

i tried to remove the screws in the back but one of them has a blue dot, its like a sticker.. Any idea how can i remove it? Also i tried to remove the hard cover without the screws but I couldn't so I tried to put it back again but on the top part it doesn't fit anymore.. Any help? haha

rice means that the phone fell into the water and someone was drying it using rice (by dismantling phone and leaving it in rice for a night to pull out the water) :-) I did it and it works but trackpad needed a replacement anyway so thank you for the movie :))

The screen number is xxx-xxx so in your case you need a 010-117 but the 010 is the important part. There's 004 005 007 009 and 010 for 9300s.

hello, that isn't good. however put some two way tape or some electrical tape over the trackpad connector after you slide it in. it should still work without the top clip.

Ok really strange swapped the old trackpad back and it switches on... Bizzzare but I did notice that the connector of my trackpad has a black film on it. Someone else has mentioned this before.

you may have got a bad trackpad or you slid the connector in partially. double check.

That little black film needs to be peeled off. We had that with my phone once and my mate took the film off and then reapplied the trackpad and it worked fine.
