About 10 or 11 years before Savanah's tragedy, another adult actress using the name Shauna Grant had a similar ending. She came to California when she was 19 and was deceased a year later. They made a movie called Shattered Innocence based on her, but it was highly sugarcoated version of things. Pauly Shore was the only one of Savanah's friends that went to her funeral or wake. They should make a movie about her life and Shauna Grant's life that shows their real experiences instead of showing it less harsh than it was.

Jenna Jameson did a brief visit on Savannah's history in one of her books. I also know how adult film is shot, and it is the furthest thing from sexy. I hardly ever find myself actively looking to consume adult film. It's weird, and I think that anyone who knowingly and compulsively watches adult film has questionable morals and might have something adverse going on, psychologically speaking. Thank you for covering this story as thoroughly and compassionately as you did. Your channel is one of my favorites to watch here on the Tube

What's not mentioned in this video is that Shannon had received a certified letter from the IRS informing her of a lien placed on her wages and property for an audit that she was a no-show at. It was a high six figure number. She had been obsessing over it for the last few weeks before her suicide. She said she didn't have anywhere near that amount of money to pay it, and was worried about being on the street. The auto accident was just the trigger event for her. Being high at the time didn't help either, I'm sure had she been sober she wouldn't have made such a drastic decision. She surrounded herself with all the wrong people, people who only wanted to use her for whatever.

@@dvhughesdesign Nope. This is just LA infrastructure. For real. L.A. native here :) Even better are the many water main breaks that flood the streets, not to mention the overfilled storm drains and potholes. LA is a lot of wonderful things but it's also a hot mess.

Abandonment coupled with no real care or concern from her mother (ie: letting Savanah do whatever she wanted to) is enough to make any child feel completely invisible, or neglected “at best”. There are so many accounts of debaucherous “rock stars” from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s whom took literal children as hostages for their own sexual gain. It’s a wonder that _ANY OF THEM_ not only survived past their 20’s & 30’s but went on to tell their stories and heal in some way. So heartbreaking.

Thank you for sharing this. I have been watching your videos for awhile. Great stories, it has given me some tips for me teaching self-defense to people. As a historian, porn is by far a concept created for profit by none other than those who create it. It is one of the 9 areas of activity that was made from its history past. It is by design a clear industry that has shaped its participants. I can go down the rabbit hole with this one. But, make no mistake about it. When we know better, WE CAN do better.
