Ridley Scott was pure genius. But you can see both him and G. Depardieu stay speechless when Vangelis rehearses the main theme for them. They're sort of stunned.

The world will keep spinning, but the film scores won't have as many facettes without Vangelis. So the world in and off itself has become less colorful without Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou in it, which is a shame, because we need all the colors we can get.
