It's a pretty good explanation and his facial expressions are hilarious, there is only one thing. Kirchhoff's Law for Blackbody Radiation has no proof, neither Kirchhoff nor Planck were able to provide one, and recently, Dr Pierre-Marie Robitaille has published a paper refuting this particular law of Kirchhoff's. See his video on the channel Sky Scholar. Now before anyone dismisses this claim outright without investigation, it should be noted that Robitaille holds the world's record for designing and building the most powerful MRI machine, to which, theoretical physicists said it was impossible due to Kirchhoff's Law on Blackbody Radiation. So, not only did he build the most powerful MRI, in doing so, he disproved this fundamental law of physics. Dr Alexander Unzicker considers this refutation by Robitaille of primary importance to cosmologists and physicists in general. As the host of this channel said, from Kirchhoff's Law, Planck proposed the photon, he also used it to derive the Planck Unit, therefore, this refutation raises many questions about the validity of cosmology today.

5:13 The emissivity of all shiny metals are near 0. This says there power output of shiny metals is near 0 (even if hot) - this makes no sense and is a contradiction to your first claim 'all thing radiate', Something is wrong. But the emissivity of shiny snow or even water is near 1, this means snow if a perfect absorber and emitter of IR radiation . Something is wrong and it is not me. I have discovered where the problem lays: anyone interested?

A lot of good information. A little more information would be helpful for some. Around 2 minutes in the video, it is stated "radiation comes from temperature". More technically correct to say that temperature causes atoms to vibrate. And EMR (ElectroMagnetic Radiation) comes from oscillating charges/changes of the vibrating atoms. Higher temps create higher frequencies. And this is the basis for how a temperature gun works.

Great video, I have a guestion Many years ago was in a electronics lab where they were designing electronic test Instruments , there was and argument as the whether they should paint the aluminum heatsinks black for the power transistors to improve It's heatsinking ability. The Engineer in charge of all the Engineers said that would only help in space so they just Stuck to the aluminum as it was. I was only a technician at that time but I still remember the battle.im now 80 that battle was in like in 1967 Who was right here, I love for you to set me straight after all these years. I'm goin to review Your video a couple more times so more sinks in

1:18 As it stands Nitrogen and Oxygen do not radiate any IR heat energy - at any temperature. If this is true there is a contradiction to thermal dynamics and quantum mechanics: if it is wrong greenhouse theory collapses. I have found the solution to the problem - they do (of course) radiate. Anyone interested?

I don't understand his calculations. When he calculates the peak wavelength what happens to the emissivity? Also I calculated it without the emissivity and got the same answer he did for the first example with humans but for the other ones I noticed we had the same numbers but for the example with the molten iron I got 1.6 micrometers instead of 1600 nanometers and for the example with the Su I got 0.5 micrometers while he got 1500 nanometers. Does anyone know the reason forth? Thanks in advance. xx

You cant use this law on gasses, so your comment about greenhouse gasses is invalid, as well as the sun (if you believe it is a gas). For instance, an IR camera can see an object without being blocked by the radiation of the air between the camera and object. This is also why gasses only absorb and glow at very specific frequency lines. When you look at the sun, you are seeing the black body radiation from the surface, which has missing lines that have been blocked by the gaseous photosphere. Otherwise, great presentation! I like your presentation style.
