I would tell anyone who wants to study thermodynamics that they watch your lectures first. You presentation is just brilliant!!! For instance, I did not even think about why physicists thought of using a hollow sphere. Your insight that a flat surface would reflect some of the radiation which then would not be able to be recaptured is a great one! I watched countless videos on this very subject and was never satisfied.

... I had watched many videos about this phenomenon (BLACK BODY RADIATION) what was confusing me is how they construct the curve for each certain temperature.... Then I understand that they heat the matter for e. g to 3000 K the body will glow (emit visible light +IR&UV ray) then they will pass this light through glassy prism which will analyse it into the spectrum including visible colors +IR&UV... Then they measure the intensity of each part of the spectrum (starting from IR...then visible light colors ended by UV) Plot wave length (horizontal) & intensity longitudinal

About the quantum of light 1- In the 19th century, much attention was paid to the study of the thermal properties of various objects. The idealized model that was considered was the Black Body. (Max von Laue called the black body the “Kirchhoff vacuum.” It was also called the “ultraviolet catastrophe”; the first signs of the “vacuum catastrophe”) 2- In 1900, Max Planck solved the “black body” problem by discovering the “quantum of action of light - h”. Particle (h) is not a hot particle emitted by stars. Particle (h) came from the vacuum, from the cosmic vacuum. 3- Einstein's second postulate states: In a vacuum, light propagates at a constant speed (c), which does not depend on the speed and radiation of the source or observer. 4. According to SRT, a quantum of light is not a solid particle. 5- According to quantum physics, a quantum of light has its own internal “spin” (linear or angular). 6- Light is an independent and free quantum particle. Its movement does not depend on the speed of the source or the observer. The actions of light do not depend on the opinions of physicists. # "All these fifty years of conscious brooding have brought me no nearer to the answer to the question "What are light quanta?". Nowadays every Tom, Dick, and Harry thinks he knows it, but he is mistaken." /Albert Einstein/

Your answer to the following please: Suppose there is a cave where we can't see anything inside. There is an opening of the cave, and from outside if we look through, nothing can be seen. Because it can act as a black body. Now, can I interpret like, some may be seen within, in summer rather than winter. Because, in summer, the temp of the cave ( black body) remains high enough and hence the emitted thermal radiation would be more and of higher energy and may fall in the visible region.

Sir, I also wonder whether there were experimental observations and scientists were trying to explain the spectrum. Or theory and experiment were going side by side to derive a function proposed by Gustav Kirchhoff (the radiation emitted from a black body within a given wavelength interval is a universal function depending only on the temperature of the body) about black body radiation.
