Like Bathory did with Viking metal, maybe one day we will have a unique sound and a genre in Metal called 'Native American Metal', just like there is Viking Metal now. :) Regardless - decent release. You could even go so far as to say they have a direct connection, given the natives' interactions with Leif Erikson. Though that was a bit North of where this music is from.

@Lind Morn Colonization and Invasion are not synonymous. How many tribes and even entire Confederations cease to exist today because other Indians removed them from history long before Europeans colonized unrecognized territory? They should have banded together and founded the United Confederacy of America and bargained peace deals with Europe instead of attacking them.

@BigChimpEnergy Жыл бұрын
@@johnbreen2370 I can see where you might get post-rock, but I don't see death metal influence at all. The vocals are raspy not growled or guttural like in death metal. The guitars use a bunch of melodic tremolo picking (typical of atmospheric and melodic black metal), there is folk instrumentation in some of the interludes and intros (common in folk black metal) and the drumming uses mostly blast beats which is standard for any variant of black metal.

this is a masterpiece of black metal accompanied by flutes and acoustic guitars deathly, raspy vocals with awesome relentless riffige like the river of time pauses then it continues and picks up and drums pick up the pace then descend into and much faster and darker and ominous and that machine of a drummer and that they are keeping pace with one aonther and another cool fade out an d followed by an acoustic guitar playing as the creek flows softly by with that beautiful sound and the space it fills damn now into Scandaga which begins with the constant beat along with a guitar that has a cool black metal then the drums pick up and go much faster then slowed a bit then going back into that relentless beat some raspy vocals the fact that you can hear the flute that was playing alongside that really relentless drum beat which even though it was much louder than the flute i had no trouble hearing that flute that was pretty awesome because you don't expect to hear that especially right then and that creativity and composition and arrangement and all these instruments sounds spectacular and the vocals yes and they understand the elements that one would need to have to i think its more intellectuallly stimulating than say avenged sevenfold but thats me and the fact that indian fella is a member of the mohawk algonquin tribe and its nice see that an american indian that can draw their heritage in that way is quite special and will certainly help to elevate the music and the atmosphere and thats on either album because both have things and elements that are special to it ending with freeing the jaws of eternity and its pretty awesome too that itis at least 30+ min and the second one is full length album
