Blackfathom deeps - Enhancement Shaman DPS raid guide + POV - WoW Season of Discovery

Hey all,
This is a full BFD run on my shaman - going over some tips/tricks on how to maximise damage. Let me know if there are any questions/suggestions for future videos - currently working on updated rotations guide :)

If you Play with double rockbiter will The Green 2.8 offhand, not better to use two of them also for Mh ? 0.3 slower should be better than The dps increase Right ?

which two greens 2.8 you mean? Callous axe? And compared to which 2.5 weapon do you mean? I'd go with the highest top-end damage weapons especially if axes, so 2 Callous axe seems good (or 1 Callous + 1 BoE Blue if that's what you are referring to)

yep quite right - and you will not be running other weapon imbues, when Rockbitter outperforms them so hard - also aggro in BFD is not an issue as if even if I tank majority of fight, that's sounds better to me compared to Flametongues/wait for dps/etc. Other phases threat becomes a different topic so ye (+ WF comes, so screw Rockbitter threat)

The bottom line is we just need windfury instead of rockbiter. Stormstrike as well. Lvl 40 will be significant for enhancement.

When I try running double rockbiter, I just end up tanking more ofthen than not in BFD. Are my tanks just not doing great or is there a trick to managing this threat? Or should I just go FT on my OH?

To be honest, not much to do - we just do too much threat as Rockbiter is just so strong to forgo at lvl25. You can definitely do FT in OH, but BFD is so easy, it almost feels not worth. Next phase when we go WF/WF or WF/FT, threat should no longer be an issue :)

Great video! I was wondering, im quite new to shamans, i love them but is there a some deep mechanics with flurry and synchronizing the mainhand and of hand that helps to do dps? I seem to hit a wall and my single target dps stays to low!

hey - so main benefit is the 150% offhand damage from Lava lash - aka you want a slow offhand with high maximum damage to maximise Lava Lash - aside from that and the Axe skill Orcs get, no real synergy between mainhand/offhand. PS. Phase 2 gives us Stormstrike and it will be hitting with both weapons due to Rune, so again high maximum damage weapons will be best!

If you have a feral druid with wildstrikes would be better to use that as mainhand and off hand rockbitter? Also for weapons im currently running meteor shard mh and axe from sfk as an oh , should i go axe mh even if dagger is more dps? sorry thanks for the video :)

hey - currently Wildstrikes above Rockbitter is not a damage gain - rather damage loss. 1 Rockbitter adds more attack power to your white hits compared to the extra Wildstrikes swing (unless Wildstrikes procs like each attach which it does not). Regarding your weapons - Meteor shard MH and any Axe (SFK one good) in OH is good - if you get your hands on Callous axe/BoE Axe - I would probably try swap SFK axe for it first (keep Meteor in MH) and then test with 2 axes as well - reason is Axe skill is not as important at this level and Meteor shard actually got good dps/proc.

Can you show us a slower video and go over current meta rotation? Idk if it changed but I remember a few weeks ago it was meta for even enhancement shamans to be running lava burst? Or was that wrong?

hey - currently my WA for Shaman consist of 2 WAs I have mashed together. Planning a vid for this , but links to those WA: wago.io/Lo6i4ByJ3 (all cds) wago.io/2eBzKhxRW/2 (totem tracker) If you add both, make sure you hide the totem tracker from the first WA and just use the 2nd one :)

double rockbitter gives you more damage than the Flametongue proc + the Lava Lash extra damage so ..

So, just to do a better parse you stop playing as a team (skip jumping on the first boss, don't wait for agro, etc)

yep the jump was omega trash from myself, tunnel versioned boss :D There's no waiting threat in BFD with double rockbitter and kill times less than 1min just as much as there's no real tanking - half the bosses hit like wet noodle and a priest can tank them ;)

All the groups i have ran with, demanded that we use faps at 35% and you use the shadow pot instead? And reasonjng for this?

the amount that shadow pot protects you from (specially as you can pop one before fight, and second at 35%) is just ridiculous - FAP is good for the chains ability, but at this point with all the nerfs, I feel 1 shadow pot is more than enough

Use whatever is cheaper on the AH

Before the fight starts, pop a shadow pot and you should have some of that left for 35%. Also helps healer mana leading up to that. That way you can use FAP and still benefit from shadow prot

@@SurpriseMechanics yep fair shout - to be honest at this point, this BFD is so easy and Kelris got so nerfed, that even without FAP/ShadowProt its going to be faceroll hahah But ye fair shout man thanks for feedback !

Can you do a video on how you expect Enh Shaman to do in the later phases? I'm coming from picking Paladin in classic as a newcomer and getting pretty disappointed that they were so crap as dps (although super fun in other ways I'd do it all again if I could). Currently leveling a warrior and want to know if you think with the current changes and what we can expect, how competitive DPS wise you'd expect Enh to be in P2 and onwards.

Yep - planning a video for what to expect in P2 - but I have said it a few times - shamans dont lose hope because once we get our full toolkit (chain light, chain heal, WF, Stormstrike) I am pretty sure we will go crazy😛

What buffs and potions do you use

hey - so all standard class buffs/DMF buff when possible/BFD boon always/Strength+Agility elixirs/Firepower elixir/Rum for stamina/Food for stamina/Spirit scroll (not really needed)/Health elixir/Defense elixir Think that should be all :)

Just going over top 100 shamans, seeing a lot of difference in weapons now. Debating what to use atm :D

yep quite a lot of options - I still think Axes on Orcs is best, but at such a low level when the BFD bosses are dying in less than 1.5min, it looks like any combination of high level weapons (BFD Daggers and Maces, the BoE Axes, even Stinger from WC) should be good enough
